Yep, branded as Italya Sports. They even had the (red!) Calsonic livery at the time. They ended up with the R89C before they scaled back to domestic racing and eventually switched brands to Toyota.

So it seems that DTM wants to introduce a hybrid powertrain by 2022. How does that align with Class One if Super GT doesn’t follow suit? Is that the end or will we have another Class One+ type regulation?

Uh-oh. If these times are continued, it'll be like the LC500's first season where they were absolutely dominant, just like in test times.

Yeah I guess it will be like 2017 season. For sure Honda will have to adapt to front engine layout for the NSX-GT as well.
Nissan has to raise its game with 2020 car, I heard on this season they allocated more resources into 2020 rather than this 2019.

I would imagine it's just a renaming, they've used the Gazoo brand for the LMP1 effort for a couple of years now.
