No apparently Jim Beam were not willing to move from their livery, hence Norton coming to the party and 18 becoming 17...

What about 'Red Roo'?

Its amazing to look at the original DJR #17 from 1980, and notice the difference in motorsport brands...

...Norton wouldnt have even been dreamt about in 1980, nor Allphones mobiles.. Toshiba made radio parts.. while Tru Blu is history, along with Palmer Tube Mills as its own entity, and Prudential Assurance lives within the Colonial First State group as a dormant brand...

Times have definitely moved on..

Just did a slow lap of the track as I was up near there anyway. The Brocks Skyline section of wall that has the signatures on it has not been painted over. Also the chase has Caltex sponsorship again so what we all call it will be correct this year.
There is also a 50 year history hall set up at the back of the pit gargaes.

AA seems a fountain of knowledge today... FPR seems set to announce 3 new liveries for its contracted cars for Bathurst.

The 2 lead cars #5 & #6 are apparently due to be painted in a livery similar to the 1977 Bathurst winning Ford Falcon 2 doors...

... while the story also goes that the #55 Bottle O car shall be painted in a dark metallic green, in the same colour as the #52D 1967 Bathurst winning Ford Falcon GT... car number changing too.... to #52...

Wonder if SBR will bust out a 98 Pirtek inspired livery for the #4 car for Bathurst.

Until 888's arrival, 1998 remained the last Ford win at Bathurst for a number of years.

Cheers

Double up. I've gone for an extra 2. If I don't need it, I'll rent it out to
someelse in the campsite.

Only 14 hours to go.

Was hoping Moffat's 73 livery would get a run with it being the 40 year anniversary

That one might find its way onto the SP Tools entry.

Same number, too!

Not now they going Merc in 2013, plus they have just released a updated SP Tools livery for Bathurst with more Orange on the car.

It looks good. You'd think the teams all got together to sort out this livery thing.

I will guess now that everyone is going to launch these liveries next week - FPR, HRT & 888?

Why they wouldn't stagger the releases to keep in the news rather than dumping everything during race week.

Kinda reminds me of the Pirtek car from 2003. Just needs yellow rims.
