It was great. It was great even before the rain over the last few laps, but that really added some drama.

8. For a Sochi race, unusually entertaining. 2 points deducted for Lando's tyre call....

-1 for Lando's heartbreaking finish. -1 for George's disappointing result. So that leaves 8.

Have to go a 10 - that race really did have it all, right the way through.

Plus being in Oz - it was GREAT to have a race start at a more civilised time for us (10:00 PM East Coast time) - worth a point in the race rating by itself.

It is a sign of how great F1 has been this year that on a circuit like Sochi which has had a number of poor races today’s was terrific even before the rain arrived.

7. Easily the best Russian GP we've had so far, helped by a wet qualifying and plenty of tension all the way. Although I feel a bit cheated we didn't see a proper duel between Lewis and Lando in the rain at the end

I felt terrible after the race, and felt it was ****. With some perspective, it did keep me entertained and yelling at the screen. I give it a 8 for actually containing some interesting action.

It's great that tenth for George is now considered disappointing. A few races ago, the team would have been over the moon with that point; but now Williams have taken a clear step forward and expect more from a third place grid slot. Hopefully they will make it into the midfield properly next season, even without Russell.
