Antrodemus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2013 V8Supercar Fantasy Championship

A new era in fictional auto racing begins in just under a month in Adelaide, where the Pete 55 Memorial Trophy will again go on the line as the ultimate prize in the 2013 V8Supercar Fantasy Championship.

V8 Despot Antrodemus took time out from re-rigging the rulebook to share his enthusiasm for the changes to the category in 2013, and is confident of a great year.
“Yeah, yeah, it'll be great,” he said. “Now bugger off - I've still got four cars to build in the next two weeks...”

Now entering its eleventh year on Network Ten-Tenths, this series can always guarantee close racing, dodgy officiating, and heated rivalries. The 2013 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship Series is back! Gentlemen (and Gentlewomen),
Start Your Engines!

1. Drivers

You can hire up to 3 drivers to drive your cars (4 in the Enduro rounds), provided that their combined salary comes in below the $2,000,000 Salary Cap.

Other Drivers
If anyone else not listed above drives in one of the non-enduro rounds (excepting in the currently empty seats listed), they will be valued at $200,000.

Endurance Drivers
Specialist drivers will be available for Sandown, Bathurst and Surfers Paradise. More info below.

2. Hiring & Firing

As Team Owner/Manager, you are permitted to sack any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to a round, and replace them - so long as you don’t blow the salary cap or 3-driver limit.

To sack/hire someone, post here expressing your disappointment in your ex-employee(s), and your hopes for your new driver(s). You will only be charged a driver change if your team is different at the next round, so there is scope to change your mind if need be. The deadline for making changes is the start of first practise.
However, you can only do this twice during the season.

Enduro Cup (Sandown, Bathurst & Surfers Paradise)
If you wish, you may use one of your two allocated driver changes to hire some of the Sunday drivers that appear for Sandown, Bathurst, and Surfers Paradise. Your driver lineup, including enduro specialists, must still fit inside the $2M salary cap, but you will be allowed an extra pilot, so you can have a maximum of 4 drivers at these three races. You will automatically revert to your normal driver lineup after Surfers, should you choose this option. Note that you do not have to pair up your drivers.

The price list for enduro drivers will be released once we know who they are. As an added incentive, the once-a-year brigade also come with generously discounted price tags

3. Points:

Points are the same as the real series. Whatever a driver scores at each round in real life is what that driver will receive here, including penalties. Your worst round will not be dropped. You will not receive $200 for passing 'Go'.
If you notice that your team hasn't scored as many points as you think they should have (or more than they should have ), there are a couple of likely reasons for this:
1) My maths stinks;
2) I missed your driver change;
3) I've only just realised one of your drivers got penalised somewhere along the line.
Either way, let me know and I'll fix your score so its 100% correct.

4. Other Things You Should Know As Team Owner:

- One team per person, per year.
- You don’t have to use all $2 million (at Surfers, this may be advantageous ), but DO NOT GO OVER BUDGET!!! You will be suitably punished (ie. disqualified from the round) if I discover any creative bookkeeping.
- A driver can be chosen by more than one team - these guys are consummate professionals and are able to drive up to 128 cars simultaneously.
- Points are the same as the real series. If things don't seem to add up, feel free to point out my mathematical ineptitude.
- Round results and championship standings will be posted here following the conclusion of each round.
- After the results have been posted, you can report on your team’s performance (or lack thereof). Show us how good you are at distributing propaganda.

5. Team Announcements:

Once you’ve picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, liveries, grid girls/guys, mascots, overseas technical partners and any other stuff you can think of, and of course your manufacturer of choice, then post here giving a detailed description of the copious quantities of hide your team will kick in the forthcoming season.

To make it easy for me, could you please condense the propaganda into this sort of form following your press release:

Quote:
NAME: Jim's Lovely People Racing
SPONSORS: BAT
DRIVERS:
#7 Todd
#11 Michael
#15 Rick
MANUFACTURER: Nissan
Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases!
Your team can be altered without penalty until first practise at Adelaide.
Comments/suggestions/queries are more than welcome, either here or via PM.

May the Fords be with you (or against you as the case may be),

Yeah, we're back. Whatever. Our Car of the Future Tatas are under construction in Mumbai, at our (third) World-class engineering facility. With such innovations as a beam axle with leaf springs, rear drum brakes and a four-speed gearbox with a column shift, we expect... something.

Our main innovation is our "Bollywood" cheer squad, with scantily-clad dancers who are busily practicing simultaneous patting the dog and changing the lighbulb.

See you in Adelaide.

!!! Press Release !!!

2012 Champions return to defend title!

Brendon Engineering is pleased to announce they will return to defend their title in the 2013 10 Tenths V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship. The team has been hard at work in the off season building 3 new Car of the Future spec VF Holden Commodores which they hope will deliver them back-to-back titles. "The team is buzzing and really looking forward to the season with #1 on the car, I wish with Clipsal was this weekend." said an excited Team Owner Brendon.

The team has re-signed the experienced Will Davison to a 2nd season with the team after he placed 4th in the driver's standings in 2012. Joining Davison in the teams other 2 VF Commodores will be Dean Fiore & young Gun Scott McLaughlin "Dean has been around a while now and proved himself a solid driver and will be an integral part of our team. "With Scott how can you not go and sign a bloke who won a championship on each side of the Tasman, we are really looking forward to what Scott will produce in our Commodore."

The new cars and driver's will hit the track on Saturday for the first time on Saturday in plain white livery with the team launching their new livery just prior to the Clipsal 500 28th of February - 3rd March. Name: Team Bitza Autosports (TBA)
Manufacturer: Ford
Sponsors: Mother, Monster, Red Bull, Rockstar (primary), Shell, Mobil, Fuchs, Caltex (secondary).
Drivers: Webb ($700K), Fiore ($300K), Caruso ($600K), Pye ($400K).

Micklegend, team manager, threw all the driver names into a hat and drew out the above lucky steerers to put together the team most likely to cause havoc, spring lucky results and mix it with the big boys when you least expect it.

Will we do any good?...."hell no but we will give it a shot!" he was heard to say at the sponsors presentation. Taking pity, the 4 main energy drink manufacturers threw some lazy cash behind the team, along with a few oil companies. General consensus is that the sponsors are all having an each way bet with the leader by Bathurst to win the honour of covering all 4 team cars in their stickers and claiming bragging rights over the rest for the remainder of the season.

Losing sponsors will be relegated to having their signs on the underside of the driving pedals for the final rounds! (may get some exposure in those tricky camera shots.....)

Good luck all....

STEALTHY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Someone cant count
