On the way back I got stuck on M40 for over two hours as there was a crash .Poor MGDavid was waiting for me when we arrived back at 6 pm . Only good thing about that was I could drive straight in with van and trailer and we were away in no time . Then on M40 back home “ bang”. Puncture on the van . Drivers side rear .That was scary changing wheel with traffic blasting inches away .Back home now after visit to Mc Donald’s . The show for me is all about banter and seeing good friends . We will return again next year .

Oh yes I saw that. I only had to cover one junction between the two parts of the A43, the signs said there was a 1 hour delay. Glad you got through it in the end!

Great pics, Peter. I only took a few snaps, but with my dual love of Imps and Alfas couldn't resist the tableau in the stage area where the white Giulia was apparently chasing the green works Imp.... and there was another very tidy Berline owned by one of my AROC members that took my fancy, too.

Popped into the auction near the end of the day and it seemed strong money being paid for some cars, but others seemed very reasonable for what they were - £20K plus premium for an ex-works TVR with a 380 bhp motor and spares didn't seem out of the ballpark (tho well outside my pockets ) Looking at the results they didn't shift many of the non-competition cars - well under 50% sold it would appear.

Excellent choice! I remember the works team entered only one berlina in an international rallye. A very well balanced chassis, with front torsion bars. Is this one a "works"?

My pleasure.

And Richard; thanks. There were some great displays and of course all pretty much people free on Friday. I enjoyed my first visit.

According to the blurb on it, its been used in Historic rallying since about 2004, being used in many HERO events with a fair degree of success - so not a Works car but certainly well worked

Went for all 3 days (well it is local) and had a great time. Hadn't even got to the entrance when I met a friend and the day continued like that, great to meet so many friendly faces.
Saturday & Sunday I was out on the Rally Stages as a 'Radio Car' and was kept busy with punctures - 3 on one Escort Cosworth alone, a wheel shearing off broken half shaft etc.
Definitely be back for more next year.
