Most likely. I would be checking the fine print in the contract. Having been through this a couple of times there is usually some wiggle room on the price depending on what they have included as standard (signage, lunch, crew etc).

Absolutely.
The more they do, the more money there is in it for them. |

Good to see some mainstream press here:
https://www.drive.com.au/new-car-rev...trackLink=SMH2 Seems to be from TCR Australia, but good to see this kind of promotion alongside the road car. This is what TCR needs to do, with manufacturers for maximum appeal. |

Ms Cerruti's remarks suggest that at least one Guilietta is heading down under. |

Like most Italian cars, while fast, they're somewhat fragile and expensive to maintain and run.

Does that make 6(?) cars, that we know of, earmarked for the series now?
Makes you wonder where things might be if they had been more accomodating to Rod Salmon's interest, and opened the grid up for the first year or two to some U2L proddies or U2L IP cars to ensure there was a fuller grid to start with. The organisers seem to think a full 20-car grid brimming with "professionalism" can be built from scratch.... |

So is this a potential precursor to more motorsport entities that compete in Supercars also announcing a TCR program, or will GRM go it alone?

You lease the seat for more than it costs to run the car.
The same reason teams buy into GT3, etc. |

It was mentioned that Mr Tander was offered a drive, but declined.
Like the rest of the cars on the grid, money will be the detirmining factor. |

I hope GRM doesn't have the same issue as the UK team has had
Sending cars back to Italy gets expensive. |

If you don't have the capability to repair them, or the money and nouse to maintain them to an appropriate standard

I don't know about repairs or maintenance but I have barely seen the UK team string 5 laps together with both cars on the track at once.
The UK series though is a bit of a shambles. Bugger all cars, no big names and even worse driving standards than WTCR. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

The story at the time, was that the cars were owned by Alfa Romeo UK, and that the team would run them for a fee. The money that was exchanged didn't entirely trickle down to the car prep... Or so the story goes.

Anyway, its off-topic here, GRM are a professional outfit, and I'd suggest the standard of driving I'd suggest should be a lot higher here.
I did enjoy the support classes for the TCR UK though... |
