Petit Le Mans Entry List Thread

46 days and counting until PLM. I am excited about the possibilities of a large field and am looking forward to my annual fall pilgrimage!

Mariantic PLM page is good but has anyone worked up a list of entrants that includes the GT field as well? If not...it's hot outside, I hate Mondays and am looking for something to fun to focus on. I may be able to have one up in a few...

I can't wait for this one! It will likely be the last time the 908's are raced stateside, and the battle with Audi will be intense. I am also excited to see what Oak shows up with, as I have never seen a Pescarolo in person. Come to think of it, has one ever raced in the ALMS? I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Lola Aston to show up, although my expectations are realistic.

No Libra in LMP2 on Mariantic's list, they stated they would do Mid-Ohio, Road America and Road Atlanta. I'll put them under 'Announced'.

They DID show AND run at Mid Ohio, so I don't see their entry as all that far-fetched.

If Krohn is racing, how is the Risi/AF Corse squad the Risi 2nd regular entry? Wouldn't this basically mean Risi has 3 Ferraris, 2 semi-run by other teams (Krohn and AF Corse)?

Looking like a nice GT2 grid nonetheless. With luck Petit will be full of cars.

Scott Pruett and Tomy Drissi were development drivers for the Jaguar program, and are likely for the 2nd car at Petit.

Also, the Porsche Hybrid ran #9 at the Nürburgring and - unless Highcroft enters a 2nd car - will probably be free. So take that for what it's worth.

And good to see second Georgia resident in there with Murry.
And a pro-driver as well! Bell, Lazzaro and Murry should be able to get the job done, no?

It is a rather convoluted situation. I would think that if they do run at Petit they will only get credit for it in the ILMC. Which I am amazed that the ACO are still recognizing as a class for ILMC, as there has not been a race in it yet and no GT-1 at Le Mans next year. I guess they are courting Nissan. Which unless they (Nissan) are building a car to compete in LM competition it is ...

Nissan is not going to race at petit with a FIA GT1 car built to last 2 hours. Why is ALMS attempting to lure them over? Btw, I would love a Nissan presence besides a Radical...

Huh? Ever heard of the ACO, or the ILMC, or the AsLMS? The ALMS is not trying to lure Nissan in at the 11th hour.

Are GT1 engines eligible in the back of a LMP1 next year?

As there is no rules yet that is still a ???. We will see them in cars that had them this year as a grandfathered entry. But as a new 2011 entry is hard to know, but doubtful.
But that does not pertain to Petit this year.

True...Any rumors of a Nissan entry at Petit? Besides the Radical of course?
