It was an ok race, nothing exceptional, though Red Bull's change of strategy with Verstappen was quite intriguing. My take away on the race is that despite the new car, Verstappen's inability to overtake Russell shows how reliant F1 is on DRS. 6.

1st part of the race was probably an 8. The latter part dull and probably a 4. So 6 in all.

7 from me - much better than we've come to expect of Barcelona but the various problems that teams had was the big driver of the race being more enthralling.

5. Apart from the fun between Max and George when Max didn't have the advantage of DRS, not really a great deal worth noting. Another race to illustrate how much we need to lose DRS.

I was feeling generous and voted 7. There were movement up the grid, and some seriously entertainment provided by George and Max. Was it a bit artificial, and is DRS still a very problematic part of modern F1? Hell, yeah. But, it was more fun to watch than the other races this season. It did turn into the regular Barcelona procession after that, but Lewis progress did make me at least pay attention. I guess I expected less.
 I mean, come on. We need to save the really low scores for next weekend. I am not even sure I'm going to care to watch anything after quali. It will be a total snoozer unless something exceptional happens. |

I even went as far as an 8, because there was more non-DRS-dominated battles taking place, some overtaking at parts of the circuit which weren't Turns 1 and 2 and generally just an extra point for my being surprised at being so entertained. Tyre strategy was interesting too (perhaps I enjoy a mixture of tyre strategies when it isn't the decisive factor in every Grand Prix).
