2020 TCR Series
How many events are expected in 2020?
Will teams be allowed to only enter cars at various rounds during the championship as per this year?
Advantage - allows lower budget entries (drivers stepping up from excels etc) to prioritise events and bolster entries.
Against - could see low entries at certain rounds.
At this point in time it appears 24+ entries will be seen in 2020 - looking for to bend and more importantly to even better racing in 2020.

Hope to see the Mazda 3 in 2020 here.
This video provides a good background on who did its development.

2020 Calendar
Two Bathurst events - sprint and endurance it would seem.
AGP round part of the Asia Pacific cup - will likely see a big field with internationals
EDIT: Would love round 5 to be at Mallala

Seems strange that TCR series worldwide are the very last to announce their 2020 calendars.
Almost every GT, Sportscar, single seater, and other form of Touring series have announced either a final or provisional 2020 calendar, yet so far only TCR Aus & TCR Germany has put theirs out.
Nothing from TCR Europe or WTCR
Wonder if its intentional

A lot of the time, they are not the headline act.

Mr Warburton has far bigger fish to fry at 7 than sign a tiny motorsport category to race 6-7 times on 7mate across a year.
ARG would rather be at 'the home of motorsport'.

10 will show ARG from next year at the Australian Grand Prix. It's 7 rounds + Bathurst 500km

I reckon Channel 10 despite what some have said online that Seven was close to agreeing to a TV deal. I believe, the announcement of changing Bathurst 500km date has pushed it back to December.

AA reports that GRM has further aligned itself with Vukovic Motorsport, in designing the upcoming Megane RS TCR Evo. The car will feature lighter composite panels, redesigned, stronger front suspension, steering and driveline components, as well as a revised engine. The story mentions increased support for the project from both RenaultSport, and Renault Australia.
A third Megane is on it's way down under, destined for GRM, as well as a fourth Alfa and two Peugeot 308s. Presumably, most of these will be offloaded to other teams.

Looks like Mazda 3 is an unlikely 2020 starter due to limited availability.
AA suggests that MG TCR cars are quite likely however in OZ.
Best bit news is hearing that GRM are now actively involved in Renault RS Evo homologation and development. Should see them further up the grid. Surprised they are only ordering one more though???
Don't understand why the Kelly's aren't doing the same to keep their shop busy.

The Megane is only produced in limited numbers. My understanding is that the yellow one GRM has procured, is the last of the 2019-build cars.

Anyone see an irony in GRM leaving Supercar because in part they couldn’t design a ‘front end’ as good as the best, and instead they have design and production responsibility for the TCR Renault MegNe worldwide?
