eamonn ledwidge should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
[QUOTE=Mike Bell;3880900]. The Spa 1hr race (that used to be called ‘Barry’s Race’) had / has a big mix of car ages, but still doesn’t allow slicks.

Spa Ardennes Challenge is the same, big mixed bag of cars - tyres free, but no slicks.

I have just received the regs for 2019 Spa Ardennes Challenge races, similar format to previous years, 30 mins qualifying and 2 x 40 mins races. Compulsory pit stop of 1 minute standstill, driver change and refuelling option. Penalty of 2 laps for failing to observe the pit stop. Entry fee €750.

As usual, Crosslé Racing Drivers' Club will be there.

Good value! Sadly Morgan Challenge cars not going this time so not sure I’ll be there. On the calendar though......

Mike, sorry to hear the Morgans will not be there, they added a lot of class and on track competition to the Challenge.

Hope to see you in something else.

I wondered if you’d looked at that race! If you haven’t found it, there is a seperate website.... http://spaardenneschallenge.com

If you’re not set on an enduro with (possible) fuel stop, it’s worth considering.

And no change of tyres needed!

Thanks for the info everyone....i dont know how that had passed me by Mike, it might actually suit me better, cheaper all round and i can just drive on my own....never like sharing the car! Had a quick look at the times and based on my own times around there a few yrs ago I wouldn’t be last either :-)

Can I also suggest drivers consider Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge, who are also on the bill for the Spa Classic. Huge grids, a massive range of cars, from 2 stroke Trabants to Zakspeed Capri and plenty in between. If its got 4 wheels and it moves under its own power, your in, HTP papers not required, its all about the pleasure of racing older cars..... https://www.ytcc.nl/mayvinci-ytcc-20...er-and-prices/

Looks good this meet.More of a clubbie feel to which is good.Looking at past years footage the event seems to get quite a range of cars and certainly large (derrr its Spa).Anyway hope to go as haven't been to Spa yet (that will change SOON).

Haven’t been called that since school! I’m guessing delta has FJ Lurani priorities at Most that weekend, or HSCC Brands. It’s worst w/end of the season for clashes.....

No HTPs needed for the Ardennes Challenge, it's virtually all-comers. I'm taking the Lenham...
