And I wouldn't have thought the market for old F3000 chassis was that big... |

£16,000, you say!! I think not, the price of those chassis` is quite a bit more, especially for what they are!! If it wasn`t for certain share holders in the Lola group they would prorbably have to be a better chassis to compete for the contrct, i would beleive!

The price for a lola f3000 car is about £50,000 which is a lot cheaper than a dallara f3 car which is about £75,000. This is of course without an engine which is around another £50,000 for the year.I don't know where the sum of £16,000 came from, but i hope this answers your question.

£75,000, jesus!!! are you sure you arn`t paying vat twice on that, i`ll sell you a new one for £60,000. The Dallara F3 cars are about £47,000 new. And the new car comming out this year will suit the F1 carlin engineers more than alot of people with the suspension system they`ll have on board!

So how much would it be for an F3000 chassis in us$ or canadian$ ?
If I remember right, my friend Bertrand Godin who raced for Durango in 1998, had to bring 600,000.00can$ with him for the whole season, he could only manage to raise about 400,000.00$ of sponsorship and some of his own money, so he got only 400,000.00$ worth of equipement and mechanics, this did not really helped him to make a name for himself in that championship, too bad, he won 2 races in Formula Atlantics in 1997, could have been a great driver!
