Thanks. Don't like the "art direction" on the Ferrari: the Vodaphone logo is much too big, and the barge boards shouldn't be white.

I think this years Ferrari looks better than ever - don't really have an opinion about the Vodaphone logo, but the white of it probably inspired the white bargeboards, which I think are brilliant - they bring back the classic seventies look for me.

Very good pics, by the way. Not at all easy to pan round and keep a moving F1 car in the frame!

Doesn't that Ferrari look sleek compared to the Mclaren? And the new one is even sleeker - can't wait to see it racing.

Cool! I was the guy decked from head to toe in Ferrari gear, with the huge Scuderia Shield flag. I stood down the front for about half an hour before the start of the race waving the flag (which is shown while they interview Ruebens before the start!) You would have seen it as the second block from the pit side, first section. There was also another Ferrari flag and German flag infront and to your left of me!
As for the pics, I'll send them large! I hope you have Broadband!!!

The files are too big to send to a Hotmail account! Want to email me a Pop server so I can send them full size? I need to send about 3MB worth.

I was in the Fangio stand opposite the Minardi garage and I couldn't get a decent photo without my camera focusing on the fencing unless it was of a car entering the pits.

Bravo! My computer's wallpaper is about to be re-set. I take it you didn't get any photographs of the first-lap tangle? And what did that *sound* like? Must have been quite something.

Thanks for posting these.

enviously,

Give me a day guys and I'll prep some good big ones for anyone who wants them. I will need to send to a Pop server, not an online email account! A few guys I didn't get as I didn't want to watch the race behind a camera (Like I have so many events in the past!) That's why I didn't take any during the start, wanted to see the action myself!
The noise and view was wierd! Like a sump gaurd scraping on a rally car! After that all you could hear was the crowd!!!

I know the feeling of watching a race from behind a camera - done that myself far too many times
Guiddy, welcome along to the forum, those are great photos. What sort of digital camera are you using? Did you need a good zoom to get those photos or is the view from that stand really that good?

Terrific photos! I guess they were either in qualifying or in the warmup lap? Rubens is there...

Excellent pics too, Guiddy. (hmm, leaving aside the photographer's artistic contribution, I might be persuaded that digital cameras are not that bad afterall. ) Good job.

Thanks for the comments guys!
The camera is a Fujimfilm 4900Zoom. It has a digital SLR type viewfinder and 6X Zoom. I set everything to manual and just panned like crazy!!!
Film speed set to 400, 320 shutterspeed, auto Aperture.

All the cars are from either qualifying or warm ups, none from the race, I was too busy celebrating!
I will post the guys who want pics as soon as I get the time, I am leaving Australia today and am a bit busy!

Off topic. Does anyone know if/where is posted some article describing the differences between the cars? Haven't noticed for example the red strips on Schumacher's and Coulthard's roll bars.
