Christopher should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'm not sure I get the V8 vs 12hr thing there either, I'm a fan of both, appreciate them for there different styles, and as we're seeing more drivers doing both races, so do they. Looking forward to see if anyone today can keep up with the Redbulls, other then the Speedy Volvo.

its like an Adelaide vs Melbourne thing, Adelaide trying to big note themselves against the big city, but get all precious if they cope any criticism back.

That aside. The red bulls are ahead of the rest and while its early days they look the goods alreadyfor the championship, couple of FPR like errors in the pits though.

Volvo impressive out of the blocks, but also good to see the other brands in the top ten also, improvements on last year

Time for the mods to get tough I think, it's ruining a once great forum.

Or maybe it's just me? A rare bred that can enjoy most if not all categories?
Yeah, this.

It's getting beyond rediculous.

If you can't stay on topic and have a civillised discussion on that topic, bugger off elsewhere.

Just goes to show that more bogan morons are prepared to watch a sprint race with all the same cars, that took till the last lap for something exciting to happen. I'm guessing you are a nascar fan as well.
Listen, young fella ......It actually takes someone with an attention span longer than a goldfish, to follow all the nuances of an endurance race. When you're old enough to tell the difference between real race cars, and appreciate how many great subplots, turns and twists this years Bathurst 12H had, you may be able to appreciate the event more. But until then, you are better off staying in your comfort zone, sitting in your fold-up chair, with your blue floppy hat on.
I'll go and have a cup of tea and a lie down now.

So, apparently you were at the B12 this year and that's all you found interesting! Well....this just confirms my thoughts.

I think that we as Australian motorsport fans should be grateful we have as much quality and variety in which to enjoy. Three weeks I witnessed one of the best endurance races ever at Bathurst, followed by the best Clipsal 500 ever over the weekend. Its great that we all have opinions about which is best, but I think we should all appreciate what we have to enjoy in this country.

I agree about the 12hr, but it was the worst Clipsal ever.

imagine if there was a forum that had a category for GT cars and a category for australasian touring cars, then the fans of both would go to their own sections and debates would never happen and loyalties would never be smashed against each other and the fans of the other would never know when a fan of one made a stupid comparison. that would be awesome

Nah wouldnt work

Agree Belly although i didn't think Clipsal was a great one, never mind being called the best ever.

V8s will always be bigger in oz, BUT thats only because the ferals of this country outway the normal people,so its only natural that you will always get more people watching. Ford and Holden the "AUSTRALIAN Mercedes"

PS Move the 12hour forum to the sports car GT section please?

Why? The 12hr and associated GT Championships have been discussed in here since this part of the forum was established. The race concerns Australian's primarily, and for the majority of Australian posters this part of the forum is their main port of call.

It has all hummed along perfectly fine until the actions of one or two in the past couple of weeks, their actions shouldn't spoil it for everyone.

I actually didn't mind the B12 hr race, I just think the V8 race is much better watching, they have grid girls too!

Great idea!

Then the V8 chat can stay on the VB/ JD forum.

Oh wait, we'll have the same problem, in a non identical way...

I thought we had moved on from Chardonnay. Through Sauvignon Blanc and now into Pinot Grigio perhaps.
But then I'm a traditional Red drinker who is still stuck on Shiraz.
Seriously though why does this sort of cheap shot mentality continue? It seems we give the trolls on both sides too much air.
By the way, are we in the process of doing to our great wine industry what we have now done to our auto manufacturing industry?

I'm confused - I'm a beer drinker but like sports car racing, v8, state racing & other stuff - I don't know which side of the fence to sit on & the splinters are starting to HURT.
