That's awesome. I had one w/ Estre in a McLaren at Road America...scariest but coolest thing I've done.

Mosport last week had something on their website using the same ambiguous "all classes" phrase as the PWC press release to describe the 2017 PWC race weekend there.
If I understand what the schedule now on the PWC website appears to show, it looks like the 5 headline weekends will have SprintX round(s) featuring GT/GTA/GTCup cars, along with separate Sprint round(s) for GTS.

Great news. First known entries for 2017 Sprint-X, if I'm not mistaken.

There will be Pro, Pro-Am, and Am-Am championships in the Sprint X series.

Apparently Johnny O'Connell and Michael Cooper will have very different Cadillacs for next season:

http://sportscar365.com/gt/world-cha...mat-confirmed/

Well, I guess it's official now. Not super thrilled, but I'll give it a chance and see how it works out.
Interesting to note that the Sprint-X rounds will still feature GTS class cars and that the GTcup class will now have Ferrari and Lambo challenge cars in addition to the Porsche cup machines.

Still not sure I like the split format, but withholding judgement until the actual racing starts.

Definitely glad to see the Pro GT teams won't have a minimum pit time.

This does seem to be overly complicated, but I guess I'll wait to see what the on track product looks like. I guess the good thing is that if it doesn't work the series will change it for next year.

A driver swap and a tire change in a race length that doesn't need either. Wonderful.

Blancpain gets 35 GT3 cars for that format, but hey they're probably just stupid.

It seems R. Ferri has a 488 GT3-and it has PWC number plates.

What works in Europe may not work here. The teams I have contacts with in the series all think it's silly, and the only reason they're entering Sprint-X rounds is so they can race more than 5 times a year.

Switching to full on GT4 for next year. No idea about potential entries just yet.

Flying Lizard is running two Cayman GT4s (alongside their KPAX GT3 program). Nate Stacy has been announced to drive one car, the other is TBA.

Mantella Autosport is bringing back their KTM XBows, I assume with Mantella & Barkey. They have a third car available for a pay driver.

Mark Klenin's KPR team has announced that he is switching from the Maserati to the McLaren GT4.

I think that's all that's been announced so far.

nasportscar has a tracker which they update occasionally:

Makes sense to go for GT4; lot of cars available for that class.
