Will do. For British GT you should send an email to jurek@gt-report.com. He'll be in Rockingham this weekend and I'm sure he'd like some detective work while he's at that dreadful race track

VLN2 race report and a couple of photos. Also some stuff about Porsche: http://www.gt-report.com/2016/05/02/another-won/
Another good day for Phoenix, and I couldn't help thinking about that article on VLN.de when they crossed the finish line. Last edited by Miguel; 2 May 2016 at 18:16. |

This one: http://vln.de/en/news/4254/why-stipp...champions.html
Also, I have hardly any money to buy a shirt for myself, so any GT Report tshirts will first go to myself. |

Flipping heck, Mercedes are throwing a lot of cars at this, and a lot of drivers pulling double duty. Two pro cars from Haribo is a pleasant surprise.
http://www.endurance-info.com/en/mer...ring-24-hours/ Risk of spreading the talent too thinly maybe? Pity more of Mercedes' DTM pilots don't have an interest in doing this, would be good to see someone like Paffet, Wickens or di Resta give it a go one year. |

157 entries? That's almost 100 down from the max gap at the start of the decade.
Good luck to all three Glickenhaus |

It's on par with recent years' and I can say the track density is absolutely fine. I wouldn't want a hundred more cars at these speeds myself.

Quite. They had to kill off the smallest classes in the N24 because with the front of the field getting faster overall, the speed differentials would become too risky, and being the Nordschleife, closing speed risks get multiplied by 100.

Frikadelli just posted this on Twitter
"Due to current #balanceofperformance grading: @Frikadelli_R abstains further #nring races with #911GT3R @MST_Mehr" |

BoP is a cancer when not done properly.

I'm wondering if it is because they think it's punishing Frikandelli or because they think the other cars haven't been slowed down enough

Would be interesting to see the BOP. I guess Klaus isn't happy about the 6+ (and potentially worse with this new BOP) second difference in laptimes.

Very disappointing, especially as it means Huisman and Sabine will likely miss out.

Does the Nurburgring get its own BoP? Not SRO or ADAC GT rules?
In any case, I'm always a bit suspicious when a team abruptly pulls out because of perceived imbalances. BoP can be a convenient scapegoat for lots of other things behind the scenes. I doubt the factory Porsche team will do anything similar. |

Why aren't there any Ferraris or McLarens? Wouldn't they be super competitive in this race? Plenty of teams in the Blancpain series that race these cars; why aren't they doing the N24? Or any other teams?

Ferrari doesn't like the Nurburgring 24, and won't support teams that go there.

As you've undoubtedly read in my VLN2 race report ( ), Patrick Huisman was mostly complaining about the 991 itself, and less about the BoP. My guess is that BoP for Porsche is **** indeed (it's the reason why the two works Porsches won't be back in VLN after the N24), but that Frikadelli is having some serious problems with their car and that's the main reason why they've pulled out. But I might be wrong. |

I doubt that Manthey will pull out , even though they will be down on speed and stand little chance of winning, as I suspect that the N24h is being seen as team "preparation" for the 2017 . |

2010 was the first time ever Ferrari was entered, and they were second overall with the F430 GT2. But BoP for GT2 cars wasn't as bad then as it is now, and the German GT3s weren't quite so politically overpowered yet.
