That McLaren pit stop could be genius. A lot of cars are going to owe us early stops for drive time regulations. Bentley have changed, so are looking good. Audis all changed too.

Looks like the back end just let go. Very lucky not to wipe his team mate out.

This is an amazing venue and the racing and spectacle is awesome.

However, I am feeling a little uncomfortable at the brutality and regularity of these crashes. I think the cars need to be slowed down here. Current GT3s are too fast for this track. I hope no-one has to be badly injured to ram that point home.

I think the next generation of GT3 is toning back the downforce and power a little bit again.

I agree, the cars are super scary here. You can't have small accidents anymore.

That was bizarre. He was off throttle and it didn't look like he had a chance to save it. That's a three time 1000 champ.

Just remember the pole time this year is around 2 secs slower than the record.

Interesting insight from a driver interview (missed who it was, sorry). Says the GT3 cars have lots of downforce but poor lateral stability so when they slide, they are very hard to catch (unlike Supercars, with less downforce but more willingness to drift). And on a hot, dusty track it's very easy to slide.

I know it’s easy for us to say on here but I think there needs to be a driver attitude change as well, driving on the limit in practice and qualifying and then banging doors 3 hours in to a 12 hour race
