Brilliant Day, the sun shone, gorgous cars & some gorgous Ladies on the Pit wall as well.
Day spoilt though by the most useless pair of commentators I've ever come across. Together in one box, rather than having one @ Maggots. At no point did they give the programme ammendments, and everytime one started giving the grid for a race, the other one would cut in with irrelevant waffle and then to cap it all, the whole of the race for the Irish Porsches was inundated with prepubescent jokes about the Irish. Disgusting |

I had a really enjoyed today. 1st time doing Pit Lane. Highlight must have been the nice new FOM timing wires being pulled out of the circuit LOL.

Great day, weather lovely, cars excellant, company good, racing interesting considering the differance in power in the cars. One car in particular, No23 Sunbeam, superb!

Was a great day well done AMOC.
The weather was lovely, had a bit to do at luffield centre, but not too much running round in that heat! As for the timing wires...they should have secured it properly. |

I cannot agree more with your opinions on the commentators. I have not heard so much drivel for years!

A very quiet day on Copse for a change, nice and sunny, great team on the bank and flags, and one brand new marshal as well.
One question, what happened to Mr Bean, he wasn't in the programme, doesn't he race AMs any more? And 2 good articles on lady racers. And isnt that 1958 DBR1 absolutely gorgeous! (Statement, not a question) Anyone got a piccy to post here? |

Reading the article on Jane Varley, when she commented on the reliability of her Speed Special, I thought... tempting fate. Sure enough, she coasted past us at Becketts to an early retirement. Oops!

My first time on Copse, so was expecting to be busy, but apart from the large amount of oil we had to clear up, a quiet day. Lovely cars, and a very relaxed atmosphere around the paddock. Mallory on Sunday was a little more frenetic!

Saturday was my first visit to Silverstone to marshal, and my first AMOC meeting. I had a really great day, just love the historic Astons, Sunbeams and Austin Healeys. It was pretty quiet in the pitlane, so thanks to Carl for a whole day's conversation, and all the great drivers and their teams who I met. Also thanks to the driver who complimented me on being the only marshal smiling in the pitlane!
