Donington, August 2006, headed down Craner Curves to the Old Hairpin.
About one hour into the race.
Some operator error on my part, it's a while since I've panned 160MPH with a 400mm focal length!

I've heard the same. Sell both Aston's to have the budget to buy a RS Spider LMP2.

Wouldn't the owners rather than Team Modena have to sell the cars? I know that one is owned by Rik Bryant who is heavily involved in the team, but how closely involved in the operation is Nick Leventis, how I believe owns the other car (and runs his BMW M3 with Peter Hardman in Britcar etc.)?

Rik is teammanager or teamowner- correct?
I suppose he is the one behind the LMP2-plans.

Neither. Maybe team co-owner ? He act´s as "Sporting Director" and owner of one of the DBR9´s.

DSC have just up a report on Team Modenas plans for next year with plenty of quotes from Rik Bryan.
He says that the teams base for next year will be the running of 2 DBR9's in the LMS next season with one or two at Le Mans. But it does look almost certain that they will be expanding there program. He says that they have a couple of people investigating the possibility of Modena running some other cars for them. On individual with a Ferrari 430 and aother with a Spyder, Aston or something else all together.
So the selling of the Astons to buy a Spyder story is hooha as Team Modena themselves won't be buying any machinery at all.
