It looks good on my monitor here. Highly polished with a good reflection of the sky, trees, a sun flare and what look like telegraph lines.

Sketchy stuff is happening in that while you took that photo.
BTW I love how it is poorly framed shot. Taken as surreptitiously as you can so that you don’t get killed. |

I'm guessing the smell is mold, aging lemon pepper (minus the pepper) and lust. Mixed with cigarettes and Fireball, of course. And halfway in the HC spot with buggies (carts) everywhere plus whoever arrived in that particular vehicle is 3 of the 1000s of reasons I don't go to "that store" anymore. This picture makes me want to go take a shower.... |

Did you mean the car or the store smells like that?

You can never be to careful taking pictures in certain situations. But even scarier is upon reflection, I think I may have ridden in that in the past. If not that exact van one a lot like it. I just can't find the pictures. edit: just found the pic and it wasn't the same van, it was normal, not a conversion. And it had snow chains on the tires for traction in the mud! Just a little bump to my question on a car ID to a photo I posted... last post on the bottom of the previous page, the white/cream early 60's US 2 door coupe I spotted locally. Curious as to what it was. I think it might be a Mercury but Im sure someone here from Stateside will know more than me.

What you've found there appears to be Merc Comet, 2nd gen flavor, so it's a 64 or 65. Anyone else got a feel? |

Someone has spotted the comet. It was meant to be barely visible it’s the naked eye, but it is a long way away in Australia.

It's a 64 Comet. Mercury "borrowed" heavily from Pontiac design across all models starting in 1965. I don't know about Ford trim levels but that one appears to be top of the line because it's a hardtop and not a post. Probably had a 260 in it.

I was on a browser on my phone.
I fell out with Tapa a bit ago so stopped bothering with it. Although obviously it is more convenient than browser. Not sure why now, perhaps I’ll go back when our legend of a owner admin sorts it. |

Had the same issue with Tap so didn't grab the picture, saw possibly THE worst of the SUVs at Atlanta airport road. Masonry makes an Urus and it's RIDICULOUS, and yes there's a wing involved

The first car is very similar to the Comet posted about earlier, but this is a Thunderbird.
The second is a sweet Merc, really like the red wheel covers. |

Sure the Merc looks great and in pristine condition. The rear axle is somewhat special. Because of the particular shape of the hardtop its nickname is "pagode", pagoda roof. The most sought after option is the third seat, in fact an uncomfortable cushion, a trap in the floor and a poor passenger seating in transverse position. Perfect for a mother in law! In principle the papers show three places instead of two. All in all a good car whatever the displacement.
