Nordic should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Strange Things

I have often been mystified by some of the sponsors you see these days, I was suprised when following a dust cart this morning to see the words Zoeller emblazened on the back, now don't Zoeller sponsor the saleen of Franz Konrad? what do the makers of dust carts get out of it.
I have always wondered what Toyota Sponsor ZENT make.

Konrad's sponsor is a German real estate agency (at least I think that's what they do) named KOELLNER.

According to the 98 Liste des Engages:-

ZENT - Machines a sous - jeu japonais PACHINKO

(forgive me for the missing accent).

Is this some kind of gaming machine - like Pokemon?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that more like an upright type of pinball. A machine full of steel balls that you have to work to the bottom (or somewhere). The number of balls you have at the end translates into money, I think. Saw quite a few, very busy Pachinko parlours on a visit to Japan a few years ago.

Cheers
Mike

Aha, yes, I think you could be right, Mike. I couldn't quite work out the "a sous" bit - but your guess sounds pretty logical to me!

machine a sous is French for one armed bandit or fruit machine. Sou was a very low-value French coin.
