Never been to that venue – as far as I remember... But car no. 2 of the pic could be Tony Drummond or ol’ Welshman George Warren...

To respond to the question about Teeside, I am quite closely involved with stock cars in the UK and though they will get racing at the new track, a rival track promoter in the area (Barford) has put a quosh on them having the F2 cars there, which is a damn shame!
But most of the fans are going to boycott his track anyway as there is something really wrong with a rival promoter being allowed to stop a new track getting its feet under the table! |

If the guys at Teeside get in touch with Warton Stock Car Club, they might tempt the 'Warton Outlaws' and Superbangers to make a trip over the Pennines. They have after all been known to visit other tracks, Blyton and Buxton spring to mind. There have been rumours of rallycross returning to Langbaurgh/Teeside Autodrome, for the last three years, but the last I heard was this was probably not going to happen because it would encroach into the off-road area. |

No its nothing to do with the F2 guys not being able to race, its everything to do with the rival promoter!! He doesnt want any competition for his farm buildings track!!
Is sad, but as you say the Outlaw cars may race there I guess, they are not a ptach on proper F2 though. I seem to remember Mike Shield drove at Langbaurgh a few times, think they only had a few meetings though! |
