Rallycross Open Series

Details of the rallycross open series have been put up on rallycrossopen.com. Not a lot there that hasn't already been announced but the introduction of the 2l multivalve stock hatch class is confirmed. Should shake up stock hatch ranks a bit. Any news on who is building one at the moment?

Is normal stock hatch dropped ? and how many EVO 3's have been built ?
The other thing I notice is that superseries ltd is gone replaced by PSM motorsport ltd which I presume is peter scott ??

The events look alot better this year although it will be intresting to see how many, if any clash with BRDA dates when there released ??

The Superprix date does clash with a IRXC round on Nov 4th 2007.

As I understand it there will be 2 classes - one for existing stock hatch and another for 2l multivalve stock hatch. They'll both run as part of the MDA championship which will support the Open Series meetings.

Don't know about the Evo3 series. Apparently its being pushed as a rent-a-drive scheme but don't know if any costings/drivers have been announced.

If the Evo 3's go the same way as Waldrens Spaceframe Tigras with only a handful built I can see that category struggling.

Has Paul got any evo's built yet

RampItUp has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
The Mitsubishi's are being imported from Asia (they have been used in the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship), in a container. There was apperently a delay getting them into the UK which meant they didn't make it to the show.

It's just been announced that a mental Chinese bird who runs a contract hire business has just signed up to be Title Sponsor, and the event will be called the 2007 LINGsCARS.com Rallycross Open Series.

Yes, sleep, but when I have just invested bloody £thousands into this sport (very willingly) after enjoying the Superprix last year at Croft... I thought I would do my best to promote my sponsorship. Link rules are very strict here though. All I posted was a link to the rallycrossopen news page.

See you at Croft, eh?

That is why Ten-Tenths is the best motorsport forum site around.

Back On Topic

I see the R.O.S. organisers have got some TV coverage. It seems each event gets 1 hour, on Motors TV. With that ammount of time even the Stockhatches should get some meaningful coverage.
Could this be the best TV exposure UK rallycross has had since the glory days of

"Chinese eat dragons for breakfast" is the best offer refusal I've ever heard on that programme - pure class!
