Si :

Tom thinks its done the crank!

This is due to lack of oil flow, It will be ok for next time he has a mod to fix it

It was very disappointing that is racing ! but we will go to Holland to try it once Tom and his team are ready.

Haven't a clue what engine is in the Mini, but 1 thing i do know is that it is only 2wd & not 4wd...! It did look a bit cobbed with the nose cone removed, unfortunately the car never came out to play it may have came out in practice & if it did then i missed it

*NEW* - LINA AND LULU RALLYCROSS MOVIE! at Croft Feb 11th

Hello to all victims who attended the LINGsCARS.com RALLYCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP at Croft on Sunday 11th Feb.

The weather was good, the racing great, the noodles... so-so!

I enjoyed it so much I made a movie. Lina and Lulu feed hungry drivers, teams, marshalls and spectators with delicious radioactive noodles.

Enjoy Movie:

I think it originally had a duratec but I believe part of the reason in starting again and rebuilding was to get a BMW engine of some description into the car. (could of course be wrong ). Looks good though and with a turbo that big it'll certainly be quick - not sure how it'll do for grip though! I'd assume it's also RWD?

The Mini unfortunately never turned a wheel at Croft all day. I think the comentator said something about a problem with the ECU after the motor had been running at the forum the night before.

It's a real shame, as it looks the absolute business. One thing though, it looked 'too long' at the front with the front bodywork removed, although I guess they had to squeeze that engine in somehow.

Cheers,

Simon.

No need to shout Chris, we can hear you

Well it was a cracking weeked. Good weather and good craik, the only problem we had was a niggling missfire, and a defective driver.

I would like to thank Hal Ridge for lending me some wheels to race on and the Tony Lynch team for taking the tyres back off at the end of the meeting
I've found out the reason why they did not have any 13'' tyres for me

I have to say well done to Paul Smith in the Polo. It was only his second event and he was a bit nervous to say the least, but I spoke to him after the meeting. He said, he had really enjoyed himself and he will be back for some more.

Well I had a great day on Sunday, although the drive home took its time!!

Real shame there wasnt a bigger Div 1 entry, the meeting was good. Lots more speccys than I expected to be at Croft in Feb in the cold and rain. And blimey it was cold. Dont think ive been forgiven yet for being stood all day in the cold. Well done to Ben in the KA, although I thought Jamie had him going into the hairpin, would have been an amazing move if it had come off!
Also well done to Russ Simpson, never ever looked like being touched! Impressed with how Liam Thane got on through the day too, good first time out!

In terms of my day, well happy. The car ran without fault and Tony barely put a mark on it all day. Well impressed with how he went in it.

Really want to thank Lynchy, for Croft and for the test at Blyton, and especially Tony (Big T) and Chris, who were fantastic for both days. Have great respect for both these guys for many reasons, thankyou!!

Also like to thank Andy Bedford, for doing all my pr stuff, really helped and managed to strike up more business because of it. And on that same note, thanks to Dan Moffat, for the story and for the pics!

Hal
We all had a great day as well.
Liams first race and a third ,got to be honest i've not been so nervous for years !!! good though.
Thanks to bryan and heppy for the quickest driveshaft replacement in history
and even more so for richard and matt from revivals for supplying the parts.
i think we need more spares for next time!!
What about stock hatch.the closest and most exciting i've watched for a while.
Promises to be an excellent season if Ash, Lynchy and steve continue the way they are racing now.
Thanks to everyone from revivals ,ginger racing and not forgeting Rob and Liam Harrison for giving liam good advice ,help and a warm welcome into the sport.
Cheers and see you all at blyton

I never said I enjoyed the noodles On the video when I said delicious..... I lied.

I did have one problem though. Considering 90% of the Stockhatches had to change onto the new Silverstone tyres, and there was quite a queue at the tyre truck. Whose bright idea was it to schedule the Stockhatches as the first group to go out for practice

Well done Liam Thane - cracking result for first time out. I know you bought a good car but still needs someone in it that knows what to do! Congrats on a third place in the first event. Many more to come I hope and maybe some 2's and 1's as well!
