widerviewphoto should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
It was a small group out testing with some UK & BARC FR2.0 cars.

I did photo most of the cars during the day. Which one were you driving ?

Cool, are your photos viewable online widerviewphoto. I was with Hillspeed (red and white car), we ran BARC spec until the final session.

Little john, are you confirmed with BARC driving for Hillspeed in 2006? or just testing I was going to try to compile a list of certain runners later today. The problem is I don't know some of the new guy's names and so have found myself in my previous lists accounting for the same person twice. Whenever I am having a count up I am told of the two lads from Wales who both have brand new twin cams, are you one of those?
There is little indication of potential runners to be had by looking at the list of registrations, as most people are hanging onto their money and won't register until mid March. Martin, are you awake? has the guy who has brought your car going to run it in BARC?

I have not confirmed a seat with anyone yet Bob but will most likely be signed up for BARC FRenault in a twin cam this year. Currently Im Just completing a testing program with Hillspeed but would like to run with them in BARC depending on the cost obviously.

The 2 Welsh guys both have bought brand new cars and were testing at Silverstone last Friday. One of them is ex BRDC Single seater competitor Richard Singleton, im not sure about the other one. Both are confirmed for BARC.

Mike Moyers another BRDC single seaters driver is getting a budget together for BARC, but is not confirmed with anyone yet.

There is another guy testing with Hillspeed who is nearly certain he is doing BARC and there are also a few karting scholarship winners confirmed I believe i.e.Thomas Arme.

Thanks Littlejohn, I'm a bit clearer now. It's a problem of some people being known by name and others by description, if I'm not careful I find myself counting the same person twice.
I know about Thomas Arme, I get regular updates from a friend of his dad's, I read about Mike Moyers in the Autosport, and I think the other chap from Wales is Hywel Lloyd. I didn't know of another Potential Hillspeed runner. There is also Craig Murrey, who has tested for Falcon in the past and recently tested for Russell. I don't know if he has confirmed anything.
I've just spoken to Pauline and the following seems to be the current score:

Championship class 10 definates plus 4 possibles.

Club class 12 definates plus 2 possibles.

Yes, it's certainly looking stronger, but short of a full grid still. The absolute maximum appears to be 29 at the moment, that's 7 up on last years registration figure.

Registration doesn't really close, anyone can join in during the year at a reduced registration fee. I think March 21st will represent a good indication of those intending starting the year as that is the final date for registration for anyone intending doing the free test. However there could still be some people who live a long way from Snett who wouldn't bother with it who will register just in time to enter for the first round.

Hi Ian. Well we were given 1 at first but happily gave it up when you registered. You were number 1 last year, its yours.

Yes we ran today at Silverstone. Just a day to learn how to start the car(!),
get it to run hot and figure out the data logger. Just got back with car in one piece so a good day in my books!!

Anyone else out before Snet?

You sure they're open on Wednesday JL? It's not listed as a test day. Anyway, if they are I hope it's warmer than Friday!!

Right, another one, that's good. Funnily enough Ian and I were looking at the UK renault test times yesterday and you looked to be going pretty well. We thought that would mean you would sign up for the Uk championship. Still, our gain and their loss Eh?
I'll do another one of my assessments based on crystal balls and rumour soon, it seems like there are another two 8 valves on the edge of confirmation. The two classes are growing together, so it looks like the numbers will be pretty even.
Well about the 21st we will have it all confirmed as it is the latest date to register for the free test at Snett, and as eveyone in racing is well and truly fed up with being ripped off no-one is going to pass up the offer of a free day out!!
