I know now it's Max Chilton. That was announced sometime after I posted the question. Still no news on who the sponsor is.

Commenter's on IndyCar's Facebook page seem to think Rossi has it in the bag. I haven't seen or heard anything concrete to suggest this. Formulahistory's comment here is the first time I've heard Hildebrand's name in a long time.

Anyone have any sources, or is this all just speculation (heaven forbid! )?

Racer have said Rossi is getting a seat fitting and will be in the car at the Phoenix test next week. They also mentioned Hildebrand as a possible candidate. http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/12...e-for-bha-seat
