British GT 2025

So far we only know the following.

Iain Loggie will probably run his new Porsche. Will Phil Keen co-drive or will Loggie try and get a factory Porsche gun to partner him?

A Ferrari 296 was announced earlier this year.

An Academy rum Mustang GT3 possibility was mentioned by Matt Nicol-Jones.

Presumably Barwell will be back with 2 Huracans.

The various Merc owners/preparers.

Century are likely to run their newly purchased M4 Evo but perhaps the bigger question will be how many BMWs will actually be in GT3 after Marciello's remarks over lack of professionalism from certain parties?

Also Mclaren have been very well represented in numbers but questions have been raised in otber series about cost and availability of parts.

Maybe some current owners will switch marques like Inception have in IMSA.

Could do with a couple less McLarens, it was a little McLaren heavy last year.

Will be curious to see if Ferguson returns in GT3.

I think 2 Seas will be back as they are recruiting staff at the moment.

Yes,good point on JF. I got the impression that Marciello's beef about standards was mainly aimed at him as much as team capability?

I wonder if 2Seas will run 2 Mercs and Loggie s Porsche?

Ferguson was not very quick which put Rafa at such a huge disadvantage, especially on UK tracks, and maybe his late season antics spilled over into teams stuff. We will never know, either way I wont miss them, utterly hideous livery

Not my favourite marque, but always good to see more variety in the Championship and I do think the 296 is a good looking car. That livery looks good as well!

Back to the series after several years away!
Is this the 2nd 296 that will be on the grid?

Hopefully we'll see more announcements in the next few weeks.

Nothing further yet on the rumoured Academy Mustang GT3.

FF Corse have a new 296 GT3 and the intention to run it here, but still assembling the budget so i'd keep that in the rumoured camp for now.

Interestingly Stellar are also in the same boat with their duo of new Corvettes... Actively pursuing SRO series programmes, whether that BGT or GTWC

Are Stellar not going to prioritise ELMS as originally thought then?

Be great if at least one of the Vettes was full time in UK!

So the GT3 runners at the moment is probably something like this...

Please all add thoughts/rumours as yoi can.

Confirmed:
Spirit of Race - 1 Ferrari

Likely:

2 Seas - 2 Mercs (or 1 Merc and 1 Porsche if Loggie stays with them)

Abga Neary - Merc
Price - Merc
Greystone - Merc

Barwell - 2 Lambo

RJN - Mclaren
Orange - Mclaren
Paddock - Mclaren
Racelab - Mclaren?
Optimum - Mclaren?

Garage 59 - TBC

Century - 2 BMW M4 (minimum 1 EVo spec)

RAM - BMW M4?

Blackthorn - 2 Aston
Beachdean - 1 Aston

Academy - 1 Mustang

Stellar - 1 Corvette, maybe 2nd car for selected rounds.

J&S Audi

Optimum have confirmed 1 McLaren 720S GT3 for Mike Price/Callum Macleod and plan a second car. That pair were in the Greystone Mercedes last year so it'll be interesting to see if any else picks up that drive or if it'll be a no show.

Thanks, yes just picked that up on DSC.

Interesting departure for Price who has been used to the Mercedes for several years.
Macleod will adapt easily enough.

I assume Optimum will run the 2nd car for returning deivers.

Like you say wonder if the Greystone Merc will return with a new pair, but if it was Price's car it'll have to be a rental or purchase from him?

Good point - I hadn't considered who actually owned the car.

Looks like Loggie's Porsche might be for sale, if I'm understanding a story on Instagram correctly.

A couple of McLarens added to the grid:

Paddock Motorsport confirm Mark Smith and Martin Plowman in a 720S GT3 Evo.

Optimum confirm Harry George and Luca Hopkinson in a Artura GT4

I think that's the first GT4 I've seen confirmed for the season?

JMH / Orange Racing back with a 720s GT3 Evo.

Simon Orange returns but now with Marcus Clutton as the pro. Should be a strong entry

Not sure if Academy are still hoping to run a GT3 Mustang or just continue with GT4 cars?

I note that 2 of last years drivers Erik Evans and Marco Signoretti have been included in the Ford Performance driver academy roster for this year which will see them pedalling GT3 or more likely GT4 cars in the States.

So if messrs Nicol-Jones and Moore continue with Academy and with either Mustang model, they'll be needing new co-drivers.

it's becoming like Formula 3 , since the mid 90s pretty much every car on their grids was a Dallara

It won't be.

Having one,(possibly two) Ferrari is already a major addition

Barwell will be back to defend their titles. Aston haven't announced their customer plans and there will be the Merc owners too.

RJM Mclaren was testing at Donington in the week.

Also present were two plain carbon black cars being run out of the same garage, a 720 and a Merc GT3 but not sure who's they are?
