If BT can find the budget he'd be a fantastic signing Thought TGR could possibly be a Doble landing spot too.

Interestingly, Turkington's son is sponsored by Pete Osborne.

Providing money can be in place, I’d go out on a limb and say TGR will be Pearson, Thompson, Crees (both actively working on TGR deals) and then either Huff or the curveball of Turkington.
Would expect to see Cook at One motorsport with maybe Halstead? I wouldn’t be surprised to see them run a pair of customer Focus’ if the Civic doesn’t return |

If true, then he's a few steps behind the rest of the frontrunners to bring in new sponsors. Going from raising less than £100K (if true) to a full budget to switch to FWD in a car that won't be a championship contender. I think if Turks isn't in a BMW he won't be on the BTCC grid. It'd be easier for him to finds a TCR UK budget of £60-80k plus an extra £40k for his wages! |

I used to enjoy the inter family battles between Butcher and Sheddon and both were looked up to by younger Scot drivers . Sadly both now seem in the past although they probably have speed to challenge at times . Butcher has been advisor and manager to others and that seems his role . Historic classes could be fun if you had a class for ex BTCC drivers .

It would be a shame if Turkington doesn't make the grid , be a weird way for a legend of the series to bow out, but I could understand it with his son's career and perhaps being at the stage in his career where he doesn't want to be running around trying to raise extra budget.
If he's "available" I'm sure Excler8 and Speedworks would ask the question. |

He seemed very competitive in the AmD Honda in 2019 and the Motorbase Ford in 2020, but then faded into the background a bit in the Speedworks Toyota in 2021-22, and particularly in 2023, like a few others have. I wonder if the Toyota Corolla has just never been particularly fast. I hope Butcher comes back, I think he might be around the level of Turkington, Cammish and Cook, at this stage of their careers.

knockhill is in the black by a fair bit, but for rory or flash or even jillian to go racing means losing a key team member for the busiest part of the year meaning a replacement has to be found and paid for. then you have the race budget to come out of the pot, plus would rory or flash even want to commit to a year on the road, opposed to working, earning and being home every night. Doesn't matter the job, living and working out a rucsac loses its appeal after a while

WSR teasing on Instagram what I can only assume to be the filming for Jake Hill's livery announcement given I'd assume you won't see the LKQ colours until they have the 2nd car sorted and DeLeon was looking for a title sponsor.

I've noticed that DeLeon is almost daily advertising a title sponsor slot still. Makes you wonder, is it just recouping cash, or could they end up short?

e.g. - Seat costs 40k (hypothetical figure). Driver has 40k of funding in place from existing sponsors, so signs up to drive. Driver then brings in additional sponsorship, bringing their funds to 60k. Driver still pays 40k for the seat, and retains the additional 20k for their own 'salary'. |
