I completed the survey as an Official and it took all of 2 minutes and most of that was looking at the final question and thinking 'what a waste of time -is that all there is'.
The second last question was 'how long have you been an official' and the % scale indicated that I had completed just 16% of the survey.
I went to the next question which turned out to be the final question (comments on how to improve the sport) and the % scale indicated 98% completed-the other 2% is evidently pressing 'submit'!!

I have no idea what benefit my response will be as all the earlier questions were of the typical general nature: age bracket, type of licence, track most attended, favoured categories etc.

I can only hope that the missing 82% of the survey does come up for competitors.

Nope... I think I jumped from about 30% to 98% so I might have seen different stuff to you, but not a lot more.

I wouldnt underestimate the power of just that kind of information to CAMS or any of the category management to be honest.

If anything - it shows how little CAMS currently does know about its target audience - so good on them for starting the process.

Hopefully this is the first step to more in depth engagement with fans, participants, volunteers etc
