Foxtel coverage shows a group of V8SC technical boffins measuring the rear wing with a lot of concerned 888 faces watching.

I think that driver is the offspring of Cole Trickle & the famous actress Speed Kills - parents decided to change the spelling of his christian name to fit in better around the hunter valley.

So 'racing' doesn't occur at Bathurst?

It makes me wonder if the only racing mayhem has seen is old Michigan/US 500s.

In the first 30 laps of Race 1, I think I've seen more action than in last year's Long Beach GP.

I honestly have quite enjoyed what I've seen so far.

And yes, if you put the question to me, I don't know that you could find a race good enough from Bahrain that I'd prefer watching it over even the Bourdais domination of Road America from 2007. So yes, the right setting can overcome a lot, and my example also demonstrates that even the most excellent circuits for actual racing don't always produce classic races, by any means. I'm sure there have been some real snoozers over the years, even at Phillip Island.

A coal loader headed to its filling point, to take our coal product overseas for valuable export dollars, and jobs tgat come from it.

They have been in & out of the harbour behind the main straight all weekend

For anyone who said you can’t pass on this circuit, look at the Harvey Norman Nissan, and the way SdS cleaned up both WP Commodores, amongst others.
