angst should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I understand Rubens would be upset at the accident at the first corner, but to go on TV and say Frentzen should be banned for ten races.....well, that's just pathetic. I hope when he's seen a replay of the incident, and had time to reflect that he played a part in a racing accident that he has the decency to apologise to Mr Frentzen.
I thought Rubens was bigger than that.

Good morning to one and all!

Angst....RB's remarks concerning Mr Frentzen, were made in the heat of the moment don't you think?? Not to be taken to heart...

If the "blame" and as humans we like to lay blame..Lays with anyone in this case, it must rest at the feet of the FIA for giving the changes made at Monza the green light...

Let's get rid of Chicanes completly...your thoughts ladies and gentlemen..

Completely agree. The chicanes are now more of a hindrance to safety than an aid. Get rid of them.

Yes, but then they're all doing 260-275mph into the breaking area for Lesmo 1 and 240mph into the Parabolica, also, if something faled through Curva Grande or Ascari....

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see chicanes go, but that isn't because it would be safer, I don't think it would be.

I think the chicanes can be unsafe, but almost all the deadly crashes have ocurred on high speed curves, so maybe it´s not only the chicanes but the drivers too. On the rubens topic, well I think that he told said that because very upset, and adrenaline was flowing through his veins, it was all racing stuff.

Yes I agree,

I don't think that it's Rubens character to lash out at other driver. At least I don't remember him ever doing it (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Most of us have have said things in the heat of the moment that we later regret.

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
This is covered in another thread when Rubens later explained that his remarks were made in the heat of hte moment. It is a fact that Frentzen tried to blame Rubens, and if he had tried that on Senna or Nigel, he would have ended up with a black eye. In my thread, I explained how the incident happened, after watching my tape on freeze frame. Frentzen actually hit Trulli first, and then the rear of his car hit Rubens and punted Rubens into DC and Rubens car was going so fast after the hit that it overtook DC and narrowly missed Mika. Check it out for yourself.
