Not the same Andy Neate that confirmed he would be at Oulton Park??

The third NGTC Focus should look stunning in Black.

The very same. I feel that Andy will feel like he has to turn up at Croft just to save face even if they aren't really ready.

well shouldn't they be using it as a practice session before summer break ?

I can't understand why spending money on a track test session when entries fees have been already paid and can use the meetings for testing

for example if he doesn't want to risk the car he could just use the race as testing session by just starting from the pits....

It's not finished! You could see by looking in and around the car on Sunday that a lot of the finishing touches needed to be applied in and around the cockpit. It also looked like a reasonable amount of wiring was left to be completed as well. There was safety equipment missing, including the onboard fire extinguisher.

Liam Griffin may be missing though, I believe because his wife is due to give birth next weekend.

But that goes against his beliefs and promises. He had to shakedown and test the MG in the first meeting of last year and doesn't want to do it again. Look at it this way, if the car did enter and do some test laps then failed, it would be his and his team's reputation on the line. A bit different to being a rentadriver and it being someone else's fault.

Thanks for that, only seen a few photos, but I wouldn't have known there were any problems with it.

He could always put a ringer in the car to stop Lea Wood dominating I suppose.

That would be a good idea. Just throwing it out there but Aaron Mason could shift across. He wants a full time drive and the more experience the better...

I was thinking more like Liam's brother Kieran who competes in the VW Cup also.

I see Andy Neate's been trashing Motorbase on twitter. Going to cause problems for certain Neate defenders on here and elsewhere that one isn't it...

Yeah.... I bet the head honchos at Motorbase are really kakking themselves with fear at the prospect of being slagged off by someone who enjoys the level of respect in the International motor racing community of Andy Neate.

True - but it's a dangerous game to be playing when you haven't even hit the track yet with your own effort.......

Good choice.

But I thought Liam was unavailable because (according to posts above) his wife was due to give birth this weekend? Why are btcc.net etc. wheeling out the old "business commitments" excuse? I can just about accept it when the excuse is used as a euphemism for "the sponsor didn't pay up", but if there's a genuine reason why not say so...

so you prefer to believe a conspiracy because someone on a forum said something which is not what motorbase themselves have said and btcc issued? read the Motorbase facebook page. its business commitments.

and they really did land on the moon in '69.

BillWiskins should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Latest installment of the best 'behind the scenes' team video series ever (probably) is out, in case anyone missed it yesterday:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAXC-LMVRE0

I know it's Oulton-related and so technically off topic a bit, but I just want to be the latest to express how much I love these videos. I look forward to them almost as much as the next round of races (I said almost). Heartbreaking to see Dan bullied on track like that and eventually having to DNF race three despite a good starting position.

Here's to some better luck this weekend, eh?

Being overtaken by faster drivers is not being 'bullied' though. Some may have rubbed him up, but not all of them.

It's a good video. Not quite as good as Tom Coronel's, but still good.
