Well Tony Bell won the final after passing Mad Mark round the outside on the final corner, cracking final race and some other good battles throughout the day.
Shelley Wakeling put her mini into the tyre wall nr the speccy bank while leading a heat, just got away coming out the right left and even on oppy lock it wouldnt come back(Assume her foot was planted to the floor). Biggest repair bill of the day went to one of the saxos, it was yellow! Thing it was Bryan Armstrong appologies if im wong with the name! Anyway he rolled at least three times, cars a little bent! Driver got out fine though no probs there. Event just needed that bit more but not a bad day out. |

Just want to thank all at BLyton yesterday for lending a hand to get me going after all sorts of problems earlier in the day. Specials thanks to Jamie, Phil, Lionel, Paul and Tony Bardy.
We are now fitting bigger mirrors on the xsara after failing to see Tony behind me and easing off half way through race. Enjoyed it still one of the best tracks in the uk from a driver point of view!!!!! and for viewing to. |

Have the Blyton facilities improved? Spectating there use to be fairly limited, most people packed into the small area at the first corner. Im guessing things have because after what Peter Stott wrote about the place in his 2003 year review book I found it surprising that the Open Championship would go there.
How did Tom Greenan do in the Corsa? It looked to be going fairly well last week in France. |

Chris was on holiday and Tom drove the car in his own Dutch Championship event at Valkenswaard where he finished 8th.
Thats why he wasn't there. |

The track was in great condition and held up well throughout the day. I will confess I have never liked Blyton, but I have to say, I throughly enjoyed my day, and I am now looking forward to going back there. Hopefully next time the crop will have gone though. I seem to have brought a fair amount of it home with me |
