PH has gone right down the tubes!! Too many are quick to criticise - maybe it's because most of the children aren't at school at the moment?

Coming back we pack up after lunch on Sunday, watch the end of the race, jump in the cars and get on the road (from the Porsche curves) we were back in Cambridge before 11pm. The key is the getaway, the Curves saved us at least an hour from Blu N. |

We always pack up on Sunday and leave as soon as the race finishes, ok getting out from the campsite is slow but usually out of circuit within half an hour, head towards the town then round the inner ring road and head north, we then use the old roads to rouen stopping for a quick break at bernay (maccy d's) then round Rouen on to motorway back to Calais. we book 22.20 tunnel but often get on one a little earlier. have been back home by 21.00 some years (i live in Kent). With numbers lighter and race finishing 1/2 hour earlier you should have no problem getting back to cambridge before midnight.
Going down later on friday is doable, particularly if you can get someone to meet you at the campsite having already set up your tent etc. |

Just to note guys and gals, I'm making the ticket Market thread strictly for sales/purchase posts. Nothing else to be posted there please. Anything else can go in this thread.
Thanks. |

A pragmatic approach in the circumstances. Indeed, could be said to be a very creative approach to the restrictions on large gatherings.
Current thinking here, having taken the credit note offer, is to give it a miss (grrr, end of unbeaten run and all that, but claim force majeure, etc, etc) and go to the British GT. |

Interesting, seems to confirm earlier stuff about entry to the campsites from 2pm on Wednesday and looks like the villages will probably be centred around each campsite but that is only a guess, not sure how those not camping will be classified.

This is going to be a very strange 24 hours indeed.
Looks like those of us who are not going can claim a refund after all. |

So I read that to mean that each village is confined to one area to spectate for the four days of track action?
Grandstand tickets might be getting transferred to tribunes within that section of track possibly? Maybe even moving some people to different campsites? Just guessing but a lot of questions to be answered. |

I think we will be all right on Tertre Rouge, the strong Fences surround the campsite and security (especially bought in trained CRS officers) will be issued with whips and automatic rifles to ensure we keep in order, However the escape committee will of course be studying the great escape and tunneling will commence soon after we arrive.
Vince i would suggest that you refrain from stealing a CRS motorcycle as the ones they have will have trouble getting over a curb let alone a 2 metre barbed wire fence. |

Danish K-rejser - the big tour operator in Karting Nord and Beusejour has just announced that they have cancelled there tour this year.
they include an interesting map over where the different camps can go to the circuit. have a look here (even if the text is in danish) https://www.krejser.dk/rejser/le-man...VR7Ko4P8eKwmO4 |

Here is the info from K-rejser in English: (google transelate)
Map of Le Mans September 2020 Below is a description of the restrictions we have received from the Le Mans organization regarding. this year's Le Mans in September. The restrictions mean that pretty much everything that makes Le Mans a huge experience is not possible in September. As a serious travel agency, we cannot vouch for such an amputated travel experience. We are therefore unfortunately forced to cancel our Le Mans trip in September. The restrictions mean the following: Le Mans is divided into zones and one must not leave these zones. For K-Rejser guests, this means that you can stay at K-Camp as well as in a spectator area of approximately 300 meters. The spectator area will be on the inside of the track - from the go-kart track to the Ford harassment. So short and sweet, one cannot move outside the marked yellow area on attached cards. • You can not get up to the start / finish line - the pit - the main grandstands • You can not get to other turns such as Arnage, Mulsanne Corner, Dunlop Chikane etc. • You cannot enter the Village • The driving parade in Le Mans city on Friday has been canceled • Pitwalk is canceled • Scrutiny / technical control is not public The Le Mans Museum is expected to close • The Danish riders are not expected to be able to visit the tent, as they are not allowed to leave the Paddock • You must wear a bandage both at K-Camp and outside the Camp Last but not least, the organization behind Le Mans (ACO) has indicated that there is still a risk that Le Mans will be closed behind closed doors, and this message may come up to 10 days before departure. As I said, we feel that what makes Le Mans a unique and huge experience is gone in 2020. It pains us incredibly much that we find ourselves forced to cancel the trip in September. We look forward to welcoming you to Le Mans at our usual location in week 23, 2021. |

'we feel that what makes Le Mans a unique and huge experience is gone in 2020.'
Have to agree with that but it will a huge achievement just to stage the race. |
