Brian, I can accept the '50's bit but 'iconic'? Perhaps I have misjudged you.

The "Iconic" label refers to the car not the driver !!!!
And as my little car was the highest placed Lotus in the 1955 Goodwood 9 hours......I consider that it is "Iconic" enough

I was there Brian, but do not remember any Lotus finishing, but it was a long time ago. How ironic.
By the way, this was pre Tripos Media days.

The Circuit's BMW?
Has the aircon packed up?
Or do you have a more traditional limo for the day?

It's the MGCC's own MG6 1.9 Diesel , @ the MG Live event a couple of weeks ago we had the windows fully open!

Ah. Right.
I had an MG6 as a loan car once some years back. Petrol version.
It felt like the engine had been deliberately constricted to create a "just too gutless" result. I didn't get a chance to give it a decent run but probably just as well if the "comfort" components are equally restricted.

A thousand curses on anybody or anything to do with football, a grossly over rated kids game that has been cynically turned into a religion by commercial interests. I feel so sorry for those poor brainwashed people who have been infected by the hype. Personally Novichoch sounds like a better option.
Well that's wot I fink.

Leaving aside the relative merits of the football (although I have a moderate interest in it), the amendments to the timetable don't seem overly objectionable given that the races that have been mixed are those with that are less well supported and/or of similar performance - I expect the combined Morgan race to be more interesting than the original two races, with small grids.
