There is a pub and resturant in Portavogie ( the town at the far end of the circuit). I'll drive by tomorrow and get you the names etc Otherwise you can get a carry-out of various nationalities in Kircubbin, local taxi might be able to provide transport etc Once again I'll check, or ring Richard Young at the track !!! |

OK for the public record Here is a list of local eating / drinking establishments, beside those at the circuit !!
Portavogie ( 1.5 miles from circuit entrance) In New Harbour Road, which is the road opposite when you hit the main road throught the village when approaching from Kirkistown Half way down on the left,"Wongs Royale" (licensed restaurant) Chinese (tel 028 42772511), which seems to have some sort of eat all you can for £7 offer - ideal for Scottish visitors !! Or go to the harbour end of the road for "The Quays" pub/ off sales and restaurant (tel 028 42772225) If you have transport the other options are back in Kircubbin Paul Arthurs restaurant ( recommend to me by one Paddy Hopkirk incidently) a proper eatery so to sppeak ( tel 028 42738129) Finnegans pub/restaurant (tel 028 42738282) Chinese take away ( tel 028 42738100) Arthurs fish & chip shop ( Same family as Paul mentioned above, run a WRC Hyundai if I recall correctly. Support your local motorsport !!! ) So ends my bit for the NI Tourist Board Last edited by hillsprint77; 27 Jul 2007 at 15:37. |

Paul Arthurs is a very good restaurant, but the service is a bit leisurely so allow plenty of time - I can recommend their chips though - very nice!
If you're looking for something a bit more downmarket, there's a burger king and a kentucky fried chicken in Newtownards! |
