Speedworx should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
New Hockenheim

How many saw the pic of the revised Hockenheim in todays Autosport?

Its not great, i prefer the old one.

I think its a crying shame to change a decent track, but the FIA seem to think they know best

Gotta have lots of slow turns so we can all see the sponsor's logos, short lap times to please the ticket payers, and of course we can't have tracks making the Hungaroring, Magny Cours, Barcelona, or any of those tracks looking like the garbage they are compared to Spa or the old Hockenhiem. Plus, we have to have handling tracks that suit Ferarri, the most marketable team on the grid.

Eccelstone and Mosely are greedy, souless old never-wheres out to grift race fans and governments.

Eat and die, Bernie.

It looks awful, they've taken away so many trees too, the track doesn't cut through the forest its on the edge of it, they've taken out all the trees behind the pits, its ugly and

Hideous. If this is Senna's legacy then to hell with safety.

Nacy pancy Showjumping is more dangerous than this nonsense.

I hate to say this in a derogatory way, but just you watch Ferrari shoot round it and off into the distance. Again.

Looks like turn one has been hacked away too. That wasn't in any of the plans released so far, but the evidence is clear enough in the photo.

I think it will be a little over 1 min in lap time; there's a 'sweeper' on the back straight that doesn't seem to have been finished yet, which should slow things up a bit.

There will still be one really good passing spot.

But the old track had three.

I think boring is a good word to describe.

I just thought about the increasing number of dull tracks in F1 (Imola, Barcelona, Hungary, Hockenheim, A1-Ring) and compared them to some of the awesome tracks the CART guys get to run on (Laguna Seca, Toronto, Cleveland, Mid-Ohio, Elkhart Lake, Montreal, St Petersburg, Mexico City, Surfers Paradise).

Its depressing as all get out. Short lap times and all those beautiful trees gone. Who says progress is a good thing.I heard they're going to level the Nordschlieffe to mitigate the elevation changes....

Oh, EERO, say it ain't so!!!

I'm fine with them taking what's left of the jumps down to make the track more useable, but changes to the overall profile of the course? It's unfathomable!!!!!!!!!!!

That is depressing! All those trees gone and a boring circuit in it's place. That is by far the most boring track in F1.

I hope Hockenheim goes bankrupt and they never hold another GP there!

I'd take Monaco over that any weekend! At least Monaco is somewhat interesting to look at, and certainly challenges the drivers.

There have been a number of possible new GPs mentioned lately. Hopefully this race will replaced with a more interesting track somewhere else in the world. China maybe? Weren't they supposed to get a GP a while ago?

I don´t think a no-overtake-is-allowed track has any interest to look at..., or we´re talking about luxury yachts, expensive food, and beautiful semi-naked girls ?

Is this just for the F1 GP. Or well it apply to any form of motor race that takes place there. I sure hope it's not the later.

It kind of looks similar to the Indianapolis track in some ways. A road course inside an oval. Except this time the oval is the forest section.

Yet another great F1 track, which has actually produced some exciting racing in the past few years (Yes, there has been overtaking in recent F1!) has been taken away by Bernie and Co. just so he can line his fat wallets with even more money.

His control/dictatorship is getting out of hand. Someone please stop him before everything has been emasculated.

Hmmm, perhaps it's already too late

How come Hockenheim can get away with chopping down all those trees when over at Brands Hatch enviromental groups keep popping up and finding endangered species/trees/flowers in the woods?!?!

Wouldn't it be cool if you did a certain few laps in the new circuit and then went out onto the old circuit!!!
Now that they can change the car's set-up from the pits...

it does make you wonder doesn't it! it's a bit like a couple of years ago when mclaren applied to use their own track that they own......lydden as a private test track, and it was kyboshed by the locals, could you imagine the italians denying the ferrari team use of a track, for something as petty as noise pollution?
