[V8SC09R15&16] Queensland House and Land.com 300, Queensland Raceway

So...

A revitalised Mr. Davison, with some good pace in his HRTmobile... Versus Whincup, who is sure to get a grand sendoff from the Queensland Ford fans...

James Courtney will be very strong i feel he went well here last year in the SBR car getting his first race win and he is hitting a nice purple patch atm. Piglet's will obviously be stong, The Giz and Alex should go well at home. HRT will also be looking to carry on the top form for the red side and Rusty i feel will have a good run.

I think the Queensland Raceway event should be a night race.

It's the only current venue where the entire circuit is confined within a small area - thereby not costing the Earth to light...

And i think it would be a popular hit, The nearby drag stip always pulls a decent crowd for night time meets, i think we should send good old TC a letter, informing him of an opportunity that he has overlooked.

hi all, been watching the forum for years and felt i needed to be involved as well as informed. agree the usual heavy hitters will be strong at qr, and would include coulthard as a top5, now i know this is a little off topic so please be kind to a newbie but am i the only one who thinks t8 may have made their intentions clear a little early and will suffer a loss of revenue from merchandise sales, ford fans will be hesitant to support even a mega team when they are defecting and holden fans will deem it 4 months too early, leaving only t8 fans and people with no passion to buy their t-shirts. thanks for having me on board

welcome. you ar definatly right, they more then likely won't sell to much merchandise this year. it was more of a parting slap across the face to Ford then anything else by announcing it early.

Just on the night race issue.

There is a 24 hour kart race being held at Ipswich next weekend. We need a 24 hour car race back in this country so if Ipswich added lights that would be one small step towards it.

You enjoy your eyes going up and down as fast as they go around.
24hrs around there would be positively boring.

Was sort of thinking the same thing, FF x 3 races, F3 x 2 races. I would have thought it would have been around the other way.

Not that I'm complaining, Kiwi's Evans & Stanaway doing a good job in FF over in Aussie

HERE is the latest weather forecast and obs... Sunny and warm, great for anyone attending. HRT seem to have finally found some good pace, will be good to see if they have found some consistancy too.

I had a steer in the race, and it was awesome! Could have been tears when the Willowbank pea-soup fog rolled on in at about 4:30am, and by 5:30am the frost was creeping ever closer to the sides of the track!

The Kevin Rudd UteGate Mazda will at the Clip on the weekend...

And while the 1996 Mazda Bravo may have entered Australian political history, it will not be exiting the spotlight.

The now iconic cab-chassis is set to tour the country raising money for charity.

Mr Grant said: "It will be at the V8 supercars event at Queensland Raceway next weekend where we'll hold a raffle. The winner will get to do a lap in the ute with a top V8 supercar driver."
