Sidepods look like an exact copy of the 2005 McLaren.
Doesnt look that groundbreaking, although the narrow engine cover is noticeable. |

Yea it does look unique, reminds me of the curved wings Williams ran from 1994 in a way. Didn't McLaren try something similar in 2004? |

Heh, I was going to say that the rear wing looks very similar to one or more of the older ones.
And I don't think that the sidepods are that McLaren'ish. |

Apart from the rear wing and the side pods, not much has changed. The rear wing is nice.

Thks for the piccies Martyn.
I find it ugly. IIRC, we got rid of the pinguin winglet (in 98 I think) when they became illegal because Bernie found those ugly. I think we are due for some regulation limiting those ugly aero bits at the back. Regarding the new Renault, the sidepods are much more different than I first thought. The circular rear wing is cool. Other than that, it looks to me as a mere evolution of the 2005 chassis (why change a winning formula... when you are anyway about to pull out of f1...). |

The curve of the rear wing is quite groovy.
I like the sidepods, in particular the airflow-curvy-winglet-thingies (how is that for techno-speak?) coming off the back of them. Other than that, nothing ot say about it really. Doe snot shout at me in any way, good or bad. Need more, closer pictures to try and get a complete idea. |

I generally agree with ASCII Man.
A very ugly car indeed. Functionality is a different matter entirely, but aesthetics seems to be a very foreign word to the designers at the minute... |

Yes, they should make pretty cars that have no hope of winning a GP.

Well it'd be nice. But performance is more interesting in the end.
Last year of course we had a car that was fast and beautiful - the MP4/20. |

I personally thought the 19 was better looking, the higher front wing looks horrid on all cars after 2004.
