Brock Europcar Team
Just watching Sports Tonight right now, and they are running a story about James Brock in Imrie's Holden for the rest of this series, with Europcar backing and Steve Owen co-driving. Looks good and a good break for James, but The Sports Tonight team obviously aren't as informed as they should be, considering they call themselves the "home of motorsport".
I heard them say James Brock is a V8SUPERCAR debutant, didn't he race with romano at the QLD 500 last year and Terry Wyhoon at Bathurst, and they said the Brock name will return to Bathurst for the first time, What about Bathurst 99. |

Yes...Channel 10 do claim to be our Home of Motorsport but have you noticed Sports Tonight only runs motorsport stories after the AFL, Rugby League, Cricket, Tennis, Golf, some strongman competition from Europe, some twits sliding down a hill snow jumping on old beds in down Thredbo and then we might see something about the V8s or other motorsport.
Also, every Monday night they show the result for the Indy Car race they are about to televise. I tape it and picture search through and have to be careful not to accidently see the result. As for the incorrect Brock claims...well it's just a headline isn't it ? |

Don't buck it... for years we had zero television coverage!
The biggest issue now is the preponderance of exposure the V8s get and the lame amount of time given over to other classes, particularly F. Holden. It is, after all, our premier racing car category. Even when they have a spare Sunday, they turn on their debates between the drivers, or whatever that's about... such a shame and a waste of opportunity. |

I don't know if FHolden is the premier racing category, but I guess you are right saying 'racing car', because there is precious little in the way of other open wheel classes. The fact that they run for the ADC doesn't make them fantastic if they can only get 6 cars on the grid... If they were running for the Miss Universe title it wouldn't make a pinch of difference if they were only capable of getting miniscule grids.
I must say that there has been a fair bit of rallying on our screen of late- I'm not their biggest follower, but it is growing on me. |

The Australian Rally Championship bores me to tears but I have really loved the new 1 hour show format they have adopted this year for the World Rally rounds - good stuff.

There are several motorsport sponsors out there I don't have a clue who they are.
What was an ICS Smartcard ? (ex V8 Supercar) What do F1 one 11 or whoever they are do ? (Formula Holden) What do Petronas do ? (Formula 1) |

Petronas is an Asian oil company
The ADC is meant to be the most prestigous championship in Australia, pity that the Touring Cars are more popular, remember when the ADC used to headline meetings, even AF2 used to, now all they are are a support act. |

ICS: I think they were kind of like Bartercard or something similar.
I think it's M1-11: Aren't they a clothing brand? Petronas: Are they a Malaysian oil company? |
