IMS sign Brock Jr
IMS has revealed today that James Brock will drive the teams VX Commodore for the rest of the season starting at the Queensland 500. The second driver will be announced in the next week. James has had 2 very sucessful tests in IMS' VX at Calder Park and hopes to overcome prequalifying for the Qld 500.
If you have any questions please email IMS through their website www.saabwreck.com.au |

thanks SPL ...
well this is a good move ..no offense to Mike imrie's squad but they are a fair bit off the pace so it will be a good test for james..i hope he makes it through pre qual and does well in the race...will we see biante signage on the car ??? and who will the second driver be ??? greg ritter??? or does he have another ride?? or will Mike imrie make a return to the seat ??? how about Darren Hossack who has been driving the ex imrie Saab in sports sedans ....it would be good to see young darren back in a V8. |

Have they perhaps done this to get Peter drawn in on the development so they can catch up? Is he perhaps going to have an odd drive (when he retired he said he may do that)?
Interesting... |

They probably still run Skodas in hillclimbs in Czechoslovakia!
No, seriously, if this is true it is a shame for Tomas, who I regard as something of a friend and an enthusiast of great worth. He tried so hard to reach the top and seemed to get a bit of a raw deal all the time. But the Skodas are still there... |

Smart move by IMS. According to the article in last weeks Auto Action Brock Snr would be willing to help get Jr into a V8 Supercar either by starting up a team or getting into an existing team.
Maybe if they can get Brocky Jr full time he wil attract some money to this small team and pretty soon they'll be a big team ? That article in the Herald may have gotten it's wires crossed as Mezera drove the IMS Commodore at Oran Park. Hopefully Mezera still has his VT tucked away somewhere...why doesn't Mezera give the Konicas a shot next year ? |

Gaaa, haaaa and waaaa? I have a feeling you might be right here Bucky...
I'm sure he's just out to get some backing so that he can do the SCS again properly next season... And Ray- don't knock the Skodas- look at the Safari Rally the other week |

Oh, you don't understand...
I wasn't knocking them, but referring to the fact that Tomas started out in them. Hillclimbing in his homeland. I hope he doesn't have to go back and start again. |

Hi Guys
Answers to some of your Q's Drivers: James Brock and Steve Owen Marcus: no offense taken but the main thing is that we didn't have the money to get on the pace. Biante Model Cars sinage will appear on the car Darren Hossack is an extreamly skilled driver who does well in the races he competes in. Ray: Lets face it, Peter is an asset to any team so to have him on bored only helps us It is highly unlikely that Peter will race the car in the shell series. Buckshot: James will be driving the IMS VX for the rest of the year I haven't seen the article in the Herald and it may well have it's wires crossed as Mezera did drive our car at Calder and Oran Park If you have any more Q's then ask away and I will try to answer them Sam Also Crash Test, can you give me a call about your plans for the VIP 500?? |
