888 Hogsters Where To Now???
So Whincup confirmed that his beloved "Danni or Dierdrie" or what ever he called his car has been sold for 2010, as always though but who are the buyers???
Will they keep one and paint in up i as a replica for Whicups Back to Back Championship and Keep It As A Momento?? Obvisly DJR has bought at least 1 more for Mr Webb but from memory 888 had at least 4 FG's, So Who is buying what??? Will DJR buy more than one??? They Currently Have 3 IIRC. At Last Trip To DJR HQ they had 2 BF's one MR Denyer Drove this year and a spare, As well as 2 FG's and a 3rd on the way. That was Mid This Year. Will They sell off all the BF's To Fujitsu? Is the FG elegible for Fujitsu in 2010??? |

The DJR BF's have been for sale since sometime late last year... no bites...
Unless we have missed something, DJR has 2 complete 888-built FG's and an 888-built shell. Mr Webb has purchased one of the current 888 cars as run this weekend.. There was a school of thought at Homebush to suggest a Ford may be converted to a Holden at some stage, perhaps for Mr Fiore... |

From what I can gather the 888 built FGs are:
T8 0015 Started with Lowndes and was the 88 car for the enduros. For Sale? T8 0016 DJR Car 17 T8 0017 PCR Car 111. Read on speedcafe.com.au that it has been sold to Dean Fiore T8 0018 DJR Car 18 T8 0019 Car 1 all season for Jamie Whincup. As mentioned as been sold, but to who? T8 0020 Car 888 except for the first few rounds. Sold to Jonathan Webb T8 0021 DJR spare chassis There was reports that Triple 8 was building 3 more chassis on top of the original 5 (making 8 in total), but I am not sure that the 8th one was built. Marcus Marshall was going to get the next FG, but we all know what happened to Team Intaracing. Last edited by B!tchie Renault; 7 Dec 2009 at 03:33. |

I'm surprised they aren't keen to put the championship winner in a shed somewhere. I guess race teams want cash now, and not a car that is valuable in 15 years time?

by the end of the video you see 4 888 cars an 1 number 1 car
http://www.teamvodafone.com/index.php?id=260 The Next Generation video it looks like only vodafone crew working on the cars not all the other from the other team that built the cars at the start of the year |

How sure are you GTR on Fiore going to Holden.... The article on speedcafe today quotes Fiore as being blue with factory cash behind him in 2010.

I think ke has had a change of heart on that one Matt
The speedcafe ( and enews) article came out after that post. He has Ford sponsorship now so that has changed Enews has said that Triple 8 will be keeping both chasis that they finished the year in at least unto 2011 |
