Indeed ambitious, but at Cadwell probably well achievable.

More volunteers would make it better (as they always do)

Drink

After a terrific two days at Thruxton ( Easter and arctic conditions) with HSCC and plenty of wonderful cars , the versatile Southern Softies are yet again venturing north ! Istanbul restaurant already booked ( with extra Delight) . Oh yes, and the little brown baron is also coming with extra sausages........
I'm sure it will be a little warmer....but please a little drier than last year!

See you soon ,David.

But you may need some gentlemans relish to get the full experience of these rather exotic flavours!
And quails eggs of course......

I'm venturing north to Cadwell for my first visit after a 45 year absence, I'll wager it has little changed.

Probably more than you would believe. The barn and cottage have gone, barn corner has been re=profiled, the pit-lane widened and a nice pit-wall built, medical centre has changed, so have the control tower, clubhouse and commentator's box. Then the bridge at Hall bends has gone and the run off areas there and elsewhere widened (though no gravel traps thank goodness). There is a new bridge but on 1st April when we were last there it wasn't yet open.

There is probably a lot more I have missed, but the main thing is the marshals and everyone else are just as friendly and welcoming as ever.

Welcome back - I hope you enjoy your visit.

Thanks for these evocative photos. Happy days pre the very sensible Health and Safety rules, regulations and strictures.....
At least the barn door was left open! But among all our circuits, I think Cadwell retains its atmosphere more than most. To flag at Hall Bends or post 5 is still an experience to savour where pure pleasure is combined with sphincter tightening anticipation!
And you just know that drivers see you and rely on you.....a huge bonus these days!
So far the sympathetic improvements by MSVR have been good news at Cadwell ( except for the post at Gooseneck Out) .
Only a week or so to go now........

Now don't forget those hungry souls in RC or we may just have to re-arrange the allocations......

If we have surplus sausages from brekka, RC will be our first priority of course! Beef or pork or chicken?
