Perry McCarthy & Audi
www.crash.net has an audio Interview with Perry McCarthy (at Motorshow in Birmingham). On the interview, he states he is really looking forward to next year with Audi (!?!?!) and really wanting to win Le Mans and Sebring!!!
 If he wants to win Le Mans with an Audi...he could be an Audi UK driver in 2003! I wish him good luck! He was an Audi boy in 1999, he drove Bentley's father, Audi R8C. |

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Perry. He never got any really decent breaks, from British F3 onwards (where I used to watch him).

It could be that he;s driving for Champion perhaps or the joest team of Peter and Werner if they get the funding. But I hope its an Audi UK team too. Good luck to Perry

I have meet Perry in person at Le Mans this year, where he gave some talks in the MRI hospitality tent and he had me stichs - he is one funny guy.

I have just listen to the interview - does this mean that he has signed a contract with someone for Sebring and Le Mans for next year???????/

WE (My Daughter and I ) also met Perry at the motor show and he hinted to us he would be in An Audi, team unspecified, for 2003 Le Mans.
I agree with earlier comments a very nice guy,with a great sense of humour,and deserving of more success the he has had. |
