Great, I will be at Brands Hatch then Seems this was indeed the event mentioned as replacement for their A1GP round.

Adria's a strange choice though.

No surprise really to see Donington out and Brands in, an ideal replacement for the A1GP round. Might try and get down to Silverstone, though it'll depend what else is
supporting it that weekend.

Adria is a very strange choice, bit like taking your F1 car to a go kart track!

Not so sure about Brands. The last 2 times i have been there for big single-seaters (Champcar & A1) i have been unimpressed.

Yay! for Spa.
Eh? for Adria
and
WHAT!? for no Monza.

... and also away from Milan and Rome, home of the Italian teams involved. Anyone fancy predicting how many spectators will be in Istanbul? Legend has it that DTM had a single digit last time they raced there...

Any idea what the support package might be like next year anyone? If it's good it looks like being a straight choice between Brands and Silverstone...or maybe both!

Very odd about the subsequent statement. Hopefully with some tweaking dull and totally unsuitable Adria will be removed and a date found at Monza...

At least it's on the GP circuit unlike ChampCar, which gives them a chance to stretch their legs. Still a difficult circuit for passing, but it's awe inspiring to watch fast single seaters on the GP loop. The sound of the V12s should be immense amongst the trees.

Oh wow! What an impressive calendar!!!

Spa, Zolder, Brands, and Silverstone!

Think I might have to go along to Brands for this one.

Mind you that the Superleague Formula date for Assen is the exact same date as the A1GP race is scheduled there.

Dutch A1GP promotor still confident they'll have A1GP there on that date...

Confusing! :P

No coincidence. This is a deliberate attack by Superleague on A1GP.

I like both championships and this year, they both provided entertaining racing, but this move by SF doesn't impress.

The words "final", "nail" and "coffin" spring to mind.

Shame it's in Europe (if you count Turkey as Europe). It would have been awesome if they were racing in Brazil

Once the football rubbish is ignored the meeting at brands hatch could be very good! Awesome cars and hopefully better then A1GP, the new ferrari cars were very poor in my opinion and added nothing to the racing or spectacle.

I suspect Assen know A1GP won't be happening, so they're working with Superleague to replace the event. Brands Hatch was already off the A1GP calendar anyway, so it's not like Superleague were poaching that one.

Yes, though I like the look of the "Ferrari", the Lola (though slower) seemed more spectacular to watch and the Zytek engine sounded a hell of a lot better.

Not sure about the other rounds but at Donington it was Historic F1, Superkarts, Club F.Ford Midland-South, F.Jedi, Alfas, Fiats, Ma5da MX5, bit of a mixed bag. It would be awesome if they could get Historic F1 on board again for Brands (but I guess HF1 will race at the HSCC Superprix there already).

I would have thought FPA or F2.
Possibly similar supports to this years A1GP meeting, as i presume it will be an MSVR meeting?

FPA seems a likely bet. Doubt F2 would as it should be on the WTCC weekend again 2 weeks earlier.

I only learnt of the Superleague series the other day, so please excuse my ignorance of how Football and Open-Wheelers can be tied in together.

But apart from that, this provisional list of tracks does look very appealing, I think I'm going to have to educate myself a bit more about the series and follow it when I can. A good old school list of circuits they have down on paper so far.
