I don't know if this has been mentioned but the French Pouchelon Racing will run 3 Dodge Vipers in GT3. See http://www.crash.net/news_View~t~GT3...~id~126004.htm

No good news for the GT3; Italian Magazine SportAutoMoto says there are many problems with the performance balance; the Viper is too fast (like a GT2!!!) and the other cars like Maserati (and F430...) will not be competitive.
Also Viper and Aston Martin are too expensive and to "prepared" cars compared with the others. Without Maserati and other cars the GT3 is over before start ! :-( |

Performance adjustments were the reason these tests were carried out, so I see no reason why the FIA won't be making a stab at equalizing these cars. Saying the championship will be over before it starts is blatant sensationalizm.
Take a look at Speed World Challenge here in North America for evidence that, as long as one isn't allergic to performance adjustments to maintain competition, parity between diverse "inherent" performances can be achieved. Since this type of parity was one of the founding intentions of the GT3 championship I think we can hope for an equal-ish field for the first round. They already have lots of experience with parity adujstments and Maserati! |

According to Autosport the Lotus and Nissan GT3 cars attended the performance balencing tests last year but could not be made truely competitive.
