Riley will take a lot of time to catch up. The euro fell to an eight-month low yesterday against the dollar amid the prospect that the European Central Bank will announce further stimulus measures later this week to boost the Eurozone economy. This is not going to help Riley to meet the cost cap.

Anyone got a list of LMP3 entries for 2016?
Seems like we are going to see a pretty big influx of these machines in a number of series: -ELMS (supposedly at 25 car capacity) -VdeV series -FFSA prototypes -Asian Le Mans Series -Asian Summer series -Dunlop Prototype series -GT3 Cup LM support race |

Silverstone 24 allowed them too, but the event will now become for touring cars only.
I'd assume the class allowance rate to multiply as rapidly as it did with GT3 a decade ago |

Could you enter Peugeot 908, Porsche 911 GT1 and Jaguar XJR-12 for it?

Yet another Ginetta killed off for Onroak switch
http://www.endurance-info.com/fr/vil...-ligier-js-p3/ Ginetta in LMP3 is pretty much dead meat at this stage. And the class is transforming into Coupe LMPC 2.0 with everyone seemingly choosing same supplier. |

Apparently not all of the announced ELMS LMP3 programs will actually happen. From DSC:

Sincerely hope it's not ACO artificially gapping it and that's the reason for "not actually happening". The waiting lista comment by Kox seems to support that there is a limit somewhere, but what would that be.

It wouldn't be sportscar racing if some percentage of announced plans never happen.

up to 50%?
The number of announced/intended cars over the last couple of months is close to 30 with another dozen or so possible cars from interested teams potentially looming around the corner. |

Perhaps these cars aren't lost, just switched series? LMP3 can run in a handful of places now so maybe other series work better for some teams.

But they can't gain Le Mans auto entries, or enter the LM support race, by racing in FFSA GT or vdev or wherever alone. Oh well I guess some have other plans.

Perhaps not but usually when you purchase a chassis with initials of "LM-" on side of it, there tends to be some underlying desire for that direction at some point.
Oh well they're much cheaper than GT3, and CN never took off from small circles. And they're easy to acquire from the French Monopoly Masterminds. |

They must be glad on IMSA decision to block the only market area where they could have realistic chance of beating the Onroak monopoly, or at least coming to even. Beaten by Onroak LMP3 monopoly to retain the Oreca monopoly in LMPC.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see teams failing to get the money in Onroak's account and cars being reassigned to the next in line.
As for entries & drivers...some potentially interesting ones still TBA/TBC ;-) |
