Scots in Sportscars
Hi all,
I'm constantly amazed and entertained by the wealth of knowledge that is held by the people who post on this forum, which is why i'm posting this to ask for a little assistance. I'm putting together a little project of sorts (photographic in nature) on Scotland's year in endurance racing, based largely on the high profile of McNish, McRae and the ambition of Scuderia Ecosse. I'd also like to highlight the sportscar stalwarts that aren't such household names - Donaldson, Fisken, Kinch, Campbell-Walter and almost certainly more that i've neglected. Specifically, I would like to put together a list of all the Scots that are involved in the LMES and Le Mans. Please excuse that fact that I won't be responding for a while, as i'll be away between Monday and Thursday, so my thanks in advance to anyone posting. Ideally, i'll come back to find a thread celebrating the Scottish involvement in endurance racing! Thanks again, Gavin Ireland |

Don't forget Robin Liddell who will be in action in another little 24hr race on LM weekend.
Calum Lockie deserves a mention too. And, is JC-W really Scottish? Last edited by cybersdorf; 25 Apr 2004 at 15:43. |

cheers cy - already i feel daft for forgetting Liddell and Lockie, who'll be getting his first run at Le Mans this weekend.
Don't know of his parentage, but JC-W was born in Oban. |

Is Andy Wallace from a Scottish family? A bell is ringing in the deep, dark recesses of my mind, but it may be the wrong bell. No doubt someone will know.
Can't think of any others right at the moment. |

There's always Anthony Reid as well - don't know if he's planning any sportscar races this year.
