2015: more or less?

Over the last couple of years a lot of people have said they are doing fewer days' marshalling, citing the high cost of fuel as the reason.

So, now that fuel costs are much lower, are you doing more meetings than in recent years?

Please note: this is not intended as a urinating contest - the actual number of days is not the issue, it's the number of days relative to previous years.

I'm going to be doing more this year. Although this is more a choice of working less rather than anything to go with fuel.

I'd actually say that fuel is pretty much creeping back up to where it was last year anyway so fuel isn't the issue for me. I only do circuits that are a tank of petrol away so Combe/Thruxton etc.

Work is normally a sticking point for me - but I am doing alot more dates than last year!

I'll be doing about the same this year. Thankfully because I don't use the car for work, fuel's never been a factor for me.

Probably slightly less - but down to age, not fuel costs

Looks like I'll be doing more Hill Climb & less Circuit stuff though - probably due to a combination of sensible hours and interesting events?

I am doing more then previous years due to being my third year and getting a bit addicted plus wife and are planning children in the next year so getting as many days marshalling as possible as next few years might not be able to do as many.

I'll probably end up doing less this year due to My 4th child being due right in the middle of the season! ( just incase anyone was wondering it's my partner doing the birthing not me, disspite my rather rounded shape!)

Cost has never been a major issue for me as I don't live far from Donington :-)

I had a rather minimal year last year but that was due to age and general decrepitude rather than costs. I hope to manage a few more this year. I'm even older but due to the good old NHS I am a bit less decrepit.

But as one "friend" commented I've given up proper marshalling now, I only do flags .

Slightly more than last year, due to last year being messed up by other commitments, but still fewer than previous years for no particular reason other than a busier life these days.

However, still being extremely picky about where I go and what for, which has proved to be fairly successful over the last few seasons.

Thanks to a change in our shift pattern in my day job, I am forced to do less meetings this year... and only one trip to the welsh island.

Yesterday @ Rockingham was my 4th day so far so definitely less, as I'm still waiting to get my Driving Licence back, which probably wont be until August.

I'm a few years' on from Heardy. Two smalls under five now, so I'll be doing quite a lot less this year and for the next couple. It means I'm being a lot more picky about which meetings I do go to.

I'm doing less whole weekends and festivals but more single days as mine is more personal time costs rather than monetary based ones.

For racing, about the same.
Overall, a lot more.
I'm diversifying my product and branching out into rallying and hillclimb.
