Lotus Elite
After having several fabulous racing adventures with my 1961 Lotus Elite, sadly the time has come to put it up for sale in the UK/Europe. I am wondering what tenthers think would be the best way to sell it, and whom with.

I have considered auction but it seems like a bit of a hassle. So I’m not sold on it particularly when the sale price is not huge. On the other hand my genuine Group A BMW 635 CSi, ex CC Motorsport, ex Vince Woodman would probably go well in an auction. I will take the bimmer to the UK for sale early next year I think. |

Yes, Robert, quite a hassle because of many inherent things. But the pro side is that you car(s) we will be "advertised" as should through an elegant an sought after catalogue. Widely displayed. And being FIA compliant is a good thing IMO amongst others like race results and reliability. As to your Bimmer, we have an expression here meaning "it wont stay for long on the carpet of the show room".

Just a thought but if you were to put it into Silverstone Auctions I could pick it up from Delta HQ and take it there for pics/valuation etc. Only need to arrange dates and times.

It sounds like a great event. Unfortunately I am back in Oz and won’t be returning to Blighty until early October. Planning on Silverstone, Jerez and Portimao in October. Last fling except maybe a Nurburgring event and LMC in 2025 in a Mazda RX7.
