The Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational is this weekend, featuring SVRA and Trans Am.

I think it's not the best idea to do this event the same weekend as an IndyCar race.

It's purely location based name only. Not much in the way of Indy cars entered other than pre-war cars, pre WWI cars. Interesting cars but nothing Indy teams would be excited about

The Corvette team has come to an end but as the article says, Pratt Miller will continue with GM as the exclusive builder of the new Corvette Z06 GT3 race car when it debuts next year, in IMSA’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Pro class. However, that is as far as the exclusivity with GM will go in sports car racing.

What's interesting is their behind the scenes involvement with GM for IndyCar, e.g. the Chevrolet aero kit.

It will be interesting to see who they form an alliance with.
Obvious ones might be Penske but I'd really like to see a shift in the balance of power so Carpenter or Foyt if Chevy is the lead supplier.

But if they are more open to shifting manufacturers then Coyne or RLL would be interesting.

It's not clear from the article if they are going to go into an alliance with anyone, or if they will enter as a full time entrant in their own right.

With the work they have done with Chevrolet in IndyCar and the current work they are doing on the new Corvette Z06 GT3, I don't see them geting involved with either Dale Coyne or RLL, who are both Honda teams.

I would guess they will stand alone or possibly just be a buyer of suspension bits from a team while they work on their own stuff. Hell they may just start their own everything from scratch and have a pretty good start on being mid field early on

I was surprised to see how the assembly is designed. Why have a nut on the inside of the upright at all? It should be a flange integral to the spindle.

I'm not holding my breath but it would be great to see Lundgaard be in the top 5 at season's end. I think that the last time a driver outside of the current top 4 teams finished top five for the season was Rahal in 2016.
